TBH, it's not a good print. The content (text) is way too close to the spine of the magazine. I like the cover done on the PS/IND, looks elegant vs the one done in Canva (even if they have different themes).

How did you print from canva? Because on Indesign you can see the double page spreads but not on canva?

If I may suggest, that you use your own lovely voice! I've listened to hundreds of audiobooks and each time the author hires a narrator, it doesn't have the same impact for a listener. You have an energetic blueprint in your voice, so imprint your content with your love in producing it for your listeners... hope that helps!

hey! i keep getting this error on magcloud 'The uploaded PDF is password protected or corrupted and cannot be opened.' and am unsure why. i downloaded the mag on canva using the PDF print option. would you have any idea why this is?

Hello from Wales UK. So sorry to hear of all your troubles and the huge expense. 😪 I hope things get better. There are some fantastic narrators trained in acting, I found a real treasure. He recorded my children's story and brought all the characters to life. My partner kindly paid a sound engineer to make sure the audio was ok for distribution. We have struck a deal. He is taking a percentage from the sales and I paid a small amount upfront. Once I get on my feet financially and we have success, I will give him a better deal on the next book. I have to create an ebook to get the audio on UK Audio. Shame, as I self-published my book years ago. Personally, I want to get rid of my children's books as Limited Edition. Rather than wasting more trees and having to go though the print on demand route.

Could you explain further when you said you had trouble with certain images over licensing? (It's around 2:07) What exactly do you mean? I'm in the process of deciding on whether to stay with Canva or go with InDesign. Are you saying that InDesign automatically stops you from using images if you don't prove you have some sort of permission? How would that work. Hopefully, I'm misunderstanding.

Podcasters said they'd be interested in possibly working with me in my magazine and after I sent out writer's/podcaster's guideline I haven't heard back from them really. Any suggestions? At this point I am not offering payment to contributors right now ~ just getting started.

Rather than Photoshop ( assuming one has the full Adobe suite) a much better tool by far for this sort of thing is InDesign. I love designing and publishing magazines and books and InDesign makes it very easy. Photoshop I would find extremely dificult to use for the same task but you did very well with it. I love Canva as well for designing graphic elements then still importing elements to InDesign. Great video. Love creative print projects!
