Yes you have to actually engage your braine. It's not a mindless action flick.

In many ways, I found Furiosa to be a superior experience compared to Fury Road. The Mad Max universe feels even more expansive and yet more intimate and layered. Furiosa compelled me to revisit Fury Road. An outstanding prequel.

Good review. I thought the movie was great. A good hard sci-fi story told through a crime noir setting. I appreciated the lack of info dumps and lack of hand holding. The animation is great. It's like a combination of the work of French artist Moebius and Sid Meier. It's a great film and I definitely recommend it.

I enjoyed this movie. Not to the extent I was hoping for but the stunts and action were great, the cast was excellent and all the behind the scenes of the movie set sequences had my inner movie geek very satisfied! Great review man

Mad Max takes place either in 1985 or, at most, 1987. The placard on the front gate of the Halls of Justice reads "Established 1983." Additionally, the sign that reads "High Fatality Road" in the scene introducing us to Max Rockatansky has graffiti on it that says, "... was here December 1985." These are very subtle but distinct bits of information for the audience deliberately inserted by Miller in his great way of not forcing exposition on the audience that they don't necessarily need to know.

I enjoyed this outtake from On Cinema at the Cinema!

I do not enjoy the film. The constant dialogue and inner monologue was so annoying. When Paul sees the lake under Arrakis for the first time, his inner monologue is just the word "water!" And that's when I couldn't control my laughter, it was just the most unnecessary line of dialogue ever. YES. I know it's water, stop interrupting my movie experience with totally unnecessary lines that treat me like I was born yesterday.

The Spicediver edit (available on CZcams) is where this movie shines. I absolutely adore what they achieved with this film and it's a shame the producers tainted the experience for Lynch.

The Lynch movie was a mess!!! I have to leave the cinema while the film is playing, full of disappointment and anger as a huge fan of the books

I thought it was kinda meh tbh. It only focuses on the 2 years which I don’t think was a good choice. I felt like I didn’t learn much about him. What was his inspiration for his music? How did he come up with everything is going to be alright? Why don’t we get more of his upbringing and life leading up to his fame? To many unanswered questions. The music and acting was well done though.

I didn't think it was all that bad actually... It wasn't great theater, but I thought it was fun. I didn't regret going (which puts it above Quantumania... :| )
