Interesting. This is actually one of my last videos before I switched the fretboard the other way 😅. There seems to be a lot of difference of opinion about which way is more intuitive. But I would need a really good reason to switch it back because that would make things even more confusing.

To do this song in G, play everything one fret lower. For the rhythm guitar, just play without the capo. For the lead guitar you might want to tune down to D standard (it's already tuned down a semitone in the video) so that you can use the open 5th string for the main motif

It appears in most of your videos you use very little effects and your tone is awesome. Do you mind sharing what verb, delay and overdrive you use. I am new to this genre and struggle with getting my presets right. I use a Helix Stomp XL and thanks again

Yes I try to keep my patches as simple as possible. I used the Helix LT; David Hislop's "DH Bethel" patch was my starting point, then I made some tweaks to suit my guitar. I don't think the same patch will work on the Stomp XL but it should have all the same effects. I used the Glitz reverb, Vintage Digital delay, and Teemah gain. Also I like the A30 Fawn Brt amp for this kind of music. That's what I use but definitely play around and find what you like best!

Track have to play the other one

I've been there! Try to focus on the most prominent parts you hear in the original recording. If you have synth, piano, and acoustic guitar at your church you could probably get away with not playing most of the chords and rhythm parts. Some of these songs have upwards of 4 or 5 guitar parts so it's definitely a challenge to distill it down to 1

@@Justinzandermusic that is, what the do, turn on all guitar tracks. But to be honest, I don‘t like that. Feel myself redundant.
