The best way to look at it is, you get a bishop door every 60s and a regenerating hp bar. So any boss that does chip damage doesn’t matter and any boss that has a 1 shot that isn’t BM curse or 200% or more doesn’t kill you. In other words, you realistically can only die to BM FMAs, Kalos, Seren test, and Kaling(?). It’s busted beyond belief

Yea I’m aware that it’s basically an operating fee. Couldn’t find a place in the vid to put this, so I’ll say it here. I think only looking at the fee amount as Nexon’s consequence paints an inaccurate picture. There are other impacts on trust and reputation. Nexon has to deal with an angered community and the attention of the kftc (for future investigations). Imo, these have larger effects than the fine. Nexon are already making changes. Hopefully they’ve learned their lesson.

I more so agree with you. There is, however, always the factor that Nexon Korea wants to shit the bed for say the sake of being big daddy, etc. It won't be a surprise if they act outside of logic and reason.

I want to make one correction for the video to make it as accurate as possible. The meso market prices are not controlled by nexon directly. It’s actually a trade between players in which players will trade meso or maple points with other players at an “agreed upon” price. This price fluctuates with the amount of meso or maple points available in the world.

@ryanhoang1123 Also being as accurate as possible, your state is correct and so is mine. The meso market is supposedly an exchange between players. How that rate is calculated, however, is undisclosed and managed by Nexon. Both statements are true.

It functions as an invisible "third party" through meso and Maple Point generation. This is a matter of engineering efficiency, since calculating and recomputing live rates per transaction at the TPS meso market requires is incredibly costly and runs into race conditions. You can observe a similar problem with quantitative finance and microsecond rates of exchange. So no, OP's statement is more accurate. Sounds like management to me! Nexon is the one calculating and computing the exchange rate. This means they're the ones managing it. Could they be doing it in good faith? That's uncertain and that's exactly the problem, because, like cube rates before, that calculation and computation is undisclosed. They could be scamming us for all we know and statements like yours lets them get away with it. That's the plot. Don't miss it. As a good content creator, I value feedback and engagement. That also means any criticism I get will be challenged if and when I disagree. If people find that abrasive and unpleasant then they're not fit to provide feedback. As a fellow content creator, good for you on whatever you went through. Know that not all creators are alike. Don't go projecting your experiences onto others w/o knowing who they are first.
