I own 2 raptor 700s one with just the big 3 and another that’s a little more built, I love the platform but haven’t got a chance to directly compare it to a YFZ. I was sad to see brewer get away from it so fast. I was looking forward to seeing what he’d do with it.
@@AbbottM72 both are solid options and can be ridden fast but comes down to preference ultimately. Would be neat to see Yamaha bring out a yfz700 or something that gives you all the torque of a raptor but the handling of a yfz
@@JacksonOffroad25 yeah my one 700 has stage 5 elkas, and is 50 inches front and rear. To me it’s the best of both worlds in my opinion but i could ride a YFZ and that could Change my mind lol. I have the same set up as Pete Hager as far as A arms and axle goes. At some point I’ll get my hands on YFZ to see what I’m missing 🤙🏼
I had a root sticking out at the edge of a trail dislocate my throttle thumb when it grabbed my tire and jerked the handlebars. Steering dampeners can save you a lot of anguish.

Can you help me out in figuring out what’s going on with my high idle on my yfz 450R. It’s staying at high revving idle at start up… I don’t know what’s going on
@@capitansuarez3231 possible vacuum leak at engine to intake maybe? That’s where I would start then maybe check and see if throttle is getting hung up at all anywhere

@@Bkrraptor personally I think these are the best you can get. Super high quality and even better customer service. These paired with a nice light bar is all you’d ever need and honestly if you aren’t doing heeps of night rides these will be more than enough to make it happen. Pete Hager has a fantastic video showing the V1 and V2 lights compared to stock. Even shows off an insane light bar

@@ononewheel7 it was an absolute blast! The new setup is game changing. I feel like I have more confidence in the throttle response and I’m not so hesitant to try stuff that before would have made me uncomfortable due to the non existent lower rpm power of a stock yfz

15:00 the problem with those back trail mud holes… you get soaked, and then go back out to the rest of the park that was DUSTY AF… and it cakes to the mud and then dries harder than damn cement!

What kinda hp numbers could you expect from a stock bike
@@Floridawoodsbanshee I want to say stock they are right around 38-39ish to the wheels
@@JacksonOffroad25 so you picked up a solid 10hp and added torque across the poweband. That should be very noticeable on the trails. Some cylinder porting would probably get another 3-5 hp.
@@Floridawoodsbanshee yeah it’s a completely new machine. If you blindfolded me and put me on it after it was tuned I’d think it was a totally different quad. I think the power it’s at now will last me a long time and I’ll be happy with it. It’s the perfect amount for trails. If I was dunning it I’d probably want some more but no true sand around me unfortunately
