what living in isreal now is like
Horrifyingly similar to what tho
They only treated as part of a job. People tend to do horrible things and they justify their actions by saying that they only did it because they were following orders or because it was their job and they care about their family more than they care about other people. In order to do any job that demands you do were much less actions, you need to be able to rip out pieces of your humanity or else you might start to sympathize with those things that you are doing. A lot of jobs tend to make the worker desensitized to the activity that they are partaking in because they say that they are only doing their job. They justify their actions with the fact that the means justify the ends and this is all they know and they are not willing to learn anything else so they continue on
Thos movie is so underrated
This is just a ripoff of the danish book "Drengen i den stribede pyjamas"
I could of sworn this was practically the story of the boy in the striped pyjamas?
Except it isn't, like at all. They have a similar premise but it's not a ripoff. That would be like saying full metal jacket is a ripoff of apocalypse now
I do not know what the hell those things are.😂
@@kloppzy_1637 Not even close lol
Blud said the Danish book 😂
I love Come and See (1985) but I was struck with nightmares and trauma for a long while after watching it
Yeah it’s definitely not a casual watch. But it is a film I think everyone should see at least once.
@@thatfilmdad I’ve attempted it 16 times already but still can’t get through. I have totally regretted watching at night because all i can see when I go to sleep is that traumatised look on Floyra as he’s trying to warn me about something and it was Woody the entire time. I’m glad Floyra knew something funny about Woody was going on and we were able to stand up to Woody by tricking him. I can’t believe Woody has turned the way he is just for me being with Floyra. I can’t believe I’ve owned him this long for nothing
Great video!
Thank you!
This is one of the most boring films I have watched, personally speaking. It’sa weird monologue in a crap accent about a bunch of nothing. Shame because I like Hardy, generally.
Such a great movie!!
This is sickkkkk
Thank you!!!
It was so boring, and i love anything history, but this movue just felt like the director didnt know what he wanted for 90% of the film and then forgot what it was about on the other 10%
I appreciate your perspective, but I do disagree. I get that this film is definitely not for everyone. The director was actually a young boy who lived in Belarus during this time period and saw first hand what the people went through. Its not your typical action war film but I do think it is a raw and brutal look that most films don’t show.
This movie is not for entertainment, nor is it for enjoyment. It is a gruesome portrayal of Nazi genocide in Belarus through the eyes of a 14 year old boy. It is hauntingly beautiful, the cinematography and acting alone is incredible. How can anyone watch it and then claim it to be “boring” is beyond me. It is a movie about the horrors of war, what in the f do you expect from it?! I understand that everyone is different but at least show some respect to the tales told by survivors of the genocide on the eastern front. This is a true story by a Belarusian author that joined partisans when he was 14 directed by a man who was evacuated from burning Stalingrad when he was a little boy. This is a true story, it is not “boring”, it is haunting.
Terrible take brother
I think you missed the point of the movie esp during the time it came out 40 years later. In the 80s seeing a a girl not a woman walking the way she was with blood down her leg after dancing with her friend would hit any man who Had a daughter at that time. That was someone’s brother or sister in that film and the true horror of war and how it aged the boy and the girl
