Impossible sale @ $50k. But hoping they can get it down to $32-35k. Hybrid Maverick is under $30k. $50k is just bonkers. $50k is just bonkers. $50k is just bonkers. (thrice, bc it's the elephant in the room)
Why is it so much fun just to see the beginning process of a startup? Thank you for sharing :)
Thanks for sharing the gritty details!
America's child being born...
damn i really love spending tons money just to own and operate a vehicle😢😢😢whyd you make such a great cheap to own product
"TELO There!" 🤺 Is THE REASON I keep clicking!
They’re doing phenomenally well. The heads down, all in on the product design is SO refreshing relative to Aptera’s “anything but”. Impressed that Graham got through the suspension design to the point where 1st articles are already showing up. And that he’s already onto door jambs and interior. He’s a beast! On those doors, back to my wish list… You need to be able to open them to a position and just lift them off with no tools or pulling of plugs. On a Wrangler, you need to replace the hinge pins (a one time thing), and unplug a connector. You could use pogo pins (like an E250 sliding door) and just make it clean. Mentioning this because so many of the reservations are “Recreational”. The hinge/connections deal is a small thing compared with jambs, seals, latches, and crash performance, but it would be an admirable step forward. And you could demonstrate it when you show the prototypes. One more thing on this… You need a mirror unless you mount it on the body instead of the door. If you had a receiver in the forward part of the door jamb where you could plug in your Telo “doors off” mirrors it would be sweet. You guys are doing so well.
Being 6'6" tall, a TELO would be fun, but I don't expect to fit in it, unfortunately.
We’ve tested 6’7” How Telo Fits Tall Folks! czcams.com/users/shorts_fQpV6qn6So?feature=share
Tell Truck + Aptera car + Zero motorcycle. I am ready.
FINALLLLLYYY!!!!!! An update on the INTERIORRRRR!!!!!!
If that 7,500$ deal remains intact I hope Foxconn USA is making serious strides to offer Telo a deal it can’t refuse to move to volume production ASAP!🔋♾️
I would love to see a fleet partnership with Communauto. They’re great for folks without a car, but they’re mostly subcompact hatchbacks that are easy to park but inconvenient for anything more than grocery shopping.
I hope they get rid of the glass roof. It’s a truck. Glass roofs add to heat load, thus more juice for the HVAC.
I would agree there. A traditional roof also dampens noise significantly inside the car compared to glass.
Exciting! Can’t wait!
can you move from the front seat to the back without getting out of the vehicle?
Keep up the technical talk! Love these videos.
Really enjoyed the available video content to date. It's unusual because it is not overhyped or overpromising. The depth and specifics of design, process and project evolution add to the interest and authority. Please keep it up! This is no doubt a project with a long time horizon to fruition, but I really hope your vision successfully makes it to market and commercial viability. Coming from the EU, I really feel the utility and form factor is already right sized, though the chances of seeing you this side of the Atlantic anytime soon are probably low!
Love to see this kind of inside look. Amazing transparency in the process. Can't wait to see the first prototypes!
Excited to see movement and your progress updates, thank you! Glad to see your are using SCRUM - only four sprints in! Lots of fun for the future!
Can’t wait to own a TELO and an Aptera someday.
Love that you have your Phillips AED readily accessible! So excited to see this vehicle come to life!
There’s very few vehicles I’m following closely. One is the TELO truck and the other is shaped like a sideways teardrop. I wish both companies nothing but good fortune. Maybe someday they can work on something together.
The Aptera, I assume?
@@Rhynri yup
I really like this concept, but my wife can't wrap her head around it ever working for us. She thinks it will be claustrophobic and impractical. I really hope there's a physical prototype that we can see and sit in at an event soon
The cab has very similar interior dimensions to a Tacoma, and they’ve had some very tall (6’7”) people sitting in the bench mockup of the interior so I don’t think she’ll have a problem. That said, there is no substitute for sitting in the real thing.
It's so nice to see such an honest and open ev startup
Exciting stuffs!
While I love the engineering in the front for crash safety, I think everything else about this truck just misses the point completely.... Instead of making a mini Cooper truck, why not make a Ryobi truck? One with an extendable bad (see Canoo concept) that has removable batteries inside. And also the sides of the bed should go down similar to a Kei truck in Japan. That's feature is incredibly useful. If make it enough like a power tool you might even be able to sell it at Home Depot/Lowes and let tool makers use the swappable batteries for other purposes.... And bonus, you wont need to set up dealerships!
A lot of the safety talk is AFTER the crash. What is the prognosis for the preventative side? Love the videos and what y'all are doing.
🛑 No. I know what I'm driving so I'm aware of what's in front. Flat fronts were outlawed for being UnSafe. I want a lil something in front. It can angle down but I still want it out front for safety
I'd rather spend money than waste time.
i sold off my 15 pro.. battery aint great and found it a bit too small, and heating issues, waiting for 16 series.
I have a F250 with a pretty large aftermarket front bumper that sticks out enough that i can stand on it. I have yet to "hood look" to see if I'm going to hit something in front of my vehicle because I know my vehicle.
Judging by the number of fools who can't park their pee pee trucks or have to park a mile out in the parking lot to make it easy, you little guys don't know your vehicles as well as you think.
What's estimated price and cost need from start up for production? We'd need to know feasible the truck coming to market.
miata is always the answer
Have you ever heard of a "crumple zone"
We have 14” of unobtrusive crumple zone that we’ve simulated rigorously to ensure we pass all federal safety requirements. Our crumple zone is larger than required to pass FMVSS 208. Jason (our CEO) specialized in vehicle safety testing for much of his career
I Ram rebel have very nice sounding 5.7 hemi V8 and my truck engine is useful it gives me joy and get the job done
how are you going to fit in the full body mangle to death truck
its nice till you hit a person going 50 or even 30 and you don't have a big crumple zone.
Crumple zones don’t have any function on human sized objects since there isn’t enough force. This style hood is actually safer for pedestrians since it reduces the force of head impacts. Modern trucks are getting so tall your head might not even clear the hood if you’re shorter.
@@Rhynri what do you mean crumple zones have no affect on human? also than why do the new cars do better on the crash test than the old cars ( that have no crumple zones). what are you talking about not enough force, going 50 -0 in under a second in a 1 ton car produces lots of force.
What find aggravating is my 1991 F150, it has a ginormous hood But has a point to it. It's fairly easy to work on. Modern pick ups They are these giant hoods too and they're still a Pain to work on.
I would love to have your tech for my amphibious car, which I think about to do in next five years. Would you think about it?
That's why we have... Wait for it... Happy Independence Day❗🇺🇸👏 You do you, in independently, and I/we will do the same, Independently❗🇺🇸💪👍 ---DonnyV✌🇺🇸😎
I would much rather have an obtrusive engine in a collision than that toy your driving. As well ive been driving for 62 years and never had the issue parking or distance, even in a dump truck
An engine doesn't protect you in a crash. Much of the safety features on a car are so the engine drops down in a crash so it doesn't get smash back into the cabin. It's a danger, not an aid, in a crash. There, an old man learned something new today

Rather have a big inefficient motor than a tampon with wheels
Drive by wire seems like a death trap and an inconvenience to me. I’ll take a boat over whatever the hell you’re trying to sell
What makes you think it’s drive by wire? You can see the steering linkage at about 30s in.
My mom had 3 jeeps 2017 grand Cherokee altitude 2019 grand Cherokee altitude 2021 grand Cherokee l limited All 3.6 pentastar v6 and the grand Cherokee l had the biggest hood.Idk why though. Its certainly not because of a v8 option in the higher trims because the regular grand Cherokee hoods where the same size all trims
Looks like a better version of the cyber truck
Lol don’t care bucko screw your car
