An analysis of historic soil contamination at Kensal Green Gasworks which requires urgent review ahead of any development work at Kensal Canal-side Opportunity Area.
Thank you for the presentation. I'm concerned about the development and would also like to point out that over the railway tracks at the back of Dalgarno there are Bats living in the trees. As we know Bats are protected under law. I wonder if this is being taken into account. We can see where i am talking about if we look at the video at 5:58 (←ckick timr stamp). It is the thinner stretch marked in purple at the bottom of thr screen. There are thick trees and shrubs all along the railway embankment where it slopes towards the houses. Not only are there many types of wildlife living there, such as Bats, Birds if all types, Bees, Foxes, Butterflys etc but the trees mask some of the very loud railway noise and lights from the railways workers. I also notice akong this stretch of wildlife there is a proposal for a byilding which will be higher than the buildings already planned (as marked on the map by a square to the right of the bottom thinner stretch of land). They are clearly planning to annihilate this stretch. Im very concerned about this.

Brilliant video Keep Kensal Green! This is a very clear presentation of the huge risks to the community of building on the toxic waste land at the Kensal Gasworks and some positive suggestions for an alternative developement. Thank you.
