EXACTLY 💥 that’s what people do and it’s a maladaptive coping strategy because afterwards you feel even worse and in some cases have engaged in high risk activities. So then you have the added guilt and shame of all this to carry around too. So many fall into the trap of “hair of the dog” to make you feel better from “beer fear” and the cycle repeats. The culture of a lot of sports is to have a drink to celebrate or commiserate. Fine if it’s one or two drinks but the research I conducted found elite athletes were engaging in hazardous and harmful ⚠️ levels of alcohol consumption as defined by the WHO which is dangerous to the body. They were causing themselves harm on a weekly basis. Remember these are elite athletes who need their bodies to be in tip top condition to be at the head of their game 📈 It’s like putting Diesel into a Petrol engine and expecting it to perform at its best! 📉

If I punched Mick I'd probably break my hand on his bristles and he wouldn't even feel it...😁 I've been following Mick's BKFC fights and he was well on top of Lorenzo on Saturday night and would have won comfortably without the elbow injury stoppage in my opinion. Like Lorenzo said Mick, I hope you came back to our little UK from the great US of A and enjoyed your tea and crumpets...🙂

As a former boxer i always had bareknuckle boxing as very unprofessional, and full if arseholes. But this is a good insight, and this man alone has changed my mind. A true professional and decent fella. A good insight

What a likable guy Mick is, never obnoxious. I was so glad when he knocked Lorenzo Hunt on his arse after the nasty stuff he'd been saying. Mick humbled Hunt and it was hilarious to watch him bounce Hunt around the ring. Big respect for Mick, world heavyweight bare knuckle champion 🇬🇧

I don’t think It cause hypoglycémia in thé first place and thinking that eating à cherry pie would cure that is a bad undestanding of blood sugar mecanism. This fighter just like pie that’s all 😂

Carrots for a "treat" thats SERIOUS inspiration to clean up my diet. Dedication !! Great fight against Lorenzo ! Dudes arm broke bc Mick rang him with an uppercut. Not a freak accident, but a result of being hit hard and clean by Mick. The way mick fights and carries himself, Im an instant fan. Mick vs Big Ben would be EPIC.

His fight performances 👊🏼, mindset 🧠 and world titles 🥇 are testament to his hard work and dedication in his relentless pursuit of excellence in his sport. Mick clearly works hard instead of talking about working hard. There's a lot to be said about not banging on about what you are doing while training for any competition. Not so much because it "gives your secrets away" but because it quenches some of the fire; non constructive gratification can come from "telling people how hard I am working mewl,mewl,mewl" instead of that slow, slow, slow building upon a base. There's loads of others guilty of this, in this sport especially. Mick is not one of them. Anyone who thinks this criticism is about them, it probably is because they care too much what other people, and even strangers think of them, rather than what they do.
Mick highlights the hard work and dedication required day in and day out for many years to become world class athlete. The foundations for success are in the daily grind which builds up over years. That’s why Mick is world champion 🥇because he’s worked hard to get there 👊🏼 relentless in pursuit of excellence 💥
