Thank you for the comment. I brought, but didn't use my water shoes, however they were not hard sole. You will step between rocks so just make sure they will not be crushing your feet. Thanks for the comment I appreciate it. As far as Krems, the Gottweig Abbey is a must do excursion, you can check out my Vlog on that. Otherwise, you are not in port very long. So, get an early start and just walk exploring Krems as I did. In fact, that is a favorite of mine, just meandering streets. So, I didn't' do a deal of excursions on my trip. In Vienna check out my stroll from boat docks... Vlog as I show you how to get to Prater Wein amusement park well worth it. The other I recommend is in Budapest, walk the promenade on your own to Margaret Island. Well worth it and I wish I had my swimsuit for the hot springs. I have Vlogs on that also. Thanks Again!

Thanks, I appreciate the comment. Last week, and it was hot, into the 100s. I will be doing a recommended itinerary Vlog on Zion. However, it will be a bit as I am off to Yellowstone this weekend. I recommend first day early in the morning, Angels Landing that way your legs are fresh. Then due to the bridge being out at Canyon Lodge after Angels landing do Kayenta trail to Emerald Pools. That is a hot hike! Then early in the morning do the Watchman hike and after that do the Narrows. It will be a hot time of day for the Narrows, but you will be in water all day. Then any others such as Pa'rus trail early in the morning. I was going to do Canyon Overlook and other Pine Creek hikes but never could find parking.

Thanks for the comment. Since this is your first cruise, even if you are not very social, get to know the staff and fellow travelers. You will get to know some very interesting people on the trip. However, also make time for some alone time. Grab a drink and kick back on the top of the longship, taking in the views. If you can, also break away from the busy tour schedule to meander city streets on your own. I did just that and had a great time exploring and making Vlogs of many European cities on my Viking cruise. Have fun!

Thanks, I am in town and plan on doing the 100th anniversary of the Vigilante parade. Also, doing 1906 trail and prospector shaft trail again. Might have time to do an unknown trial to Mount Helena.

Thanks for asking, I didn't hear a thing up, down or on either side. However, I live by a highway, so I am accustomed to noise at night. What will wake you up is when they dock, another boat docks next to you, or going through the locks at night. If you do wake up it is pretty cool to see the locks outside your window.

You're welcome, if you are going up the Danube checkout my other vlogs for ideas of things to do. I highly recommend in Budapest walking from the dock up the promenade to Margret Island. In that Vlog the Christmas lights I came across it was a hot springs. A must do for myself next time, not sure what their hours are.

Thanks for the comment. I come to forget about parking costs in major cities! Here in the Northwest, we tend to expect free parking. Here is a story you will like. I was in a small Montana city and a lady was in downtown, ready to back up her car. She got so mad that she had to wait for two cars to go by to backup, she said I have to get out of town during this reunion event.

You would know better than myself as I only got to spend a half a day in Krems. What I liked about it, in which hopefully my Vlog reflected it. It was quiet and views of the city were beautiful. From all the cities I have visited, I see that someone's lifestyle would not suit them in some of these cities. I am in the process of putting together a trip trekking in the Himalayas and I am worried that some of the group may not like how poor Nepal is. Anyway, as noted in my Gottweig Abbey Vlog, I really want to return to do the Wachau World Heritage hike and explore Krems some more. Thanks.
