Best place to start is your local Spanish Consulate! A lot of the time it depends on your country and what type of relationship it has with Spain. And there are multiple options including the Golden Visa which lets you work in Spain. Also Visa's aimed at Retirees. You want to keep an eye on the Taxes that can come into play for foreigners. Find a good Lawyer fluent in your language of choice and Spanish, from "that area" that understands those tax laws, because they can change region to region! This sounds way more difficult than it really is. It's just a matter of a little research with the right people!
