Colonization really makes me sad.
Why speak French 🤣
Because Tahiti is in French Polynesia.
@@iwasaninjaallalong French is Colonial, Tahitian people not white people 🤣
@@efrans2627 Bro I ain't blind🤣 But Tahiti, still have the french flag hanging next to it's own. Plus I would know if I wasn't in a french speaking island🤣🤣🤣
@@iwasaninjaallalong bro don't be stupid, Tahiti not white people 👎🤣
@@efrans2627 lol tahiti is part of france france isnt just mainland france
In Tahiti you say

so youre telling me that tahiti is a real place and it wasnt dutch making things up
Proud to be a Polynesian. Our language, I pass it on to my children from generation to generation of course while learning other foreign languages but quickly learning the English language
Is there some online sites where I can learn Polynesian ? I cant find any :(, only in french but not english translations
@@ariari-dv8ji hi sincerely I am sorry only in French. if you want I can give you Tahitian lessons if you agree, I say hello to you from French Polynesia says TAHITI 😉
@@ariari-dv8ji i think duolingo added a course but not positive on that
French colony 🤣👎
I don’t think this Tahiti plan will work
Thanks to all these comments, the Pinkerton Detective Agency now knows where Dutch and the gang would go to lose them.

Dutch do be watching this movie on repeat
Ia orana Comment fait on pour avoir la version tahitienne ? Maururu
dude, this is so cool

Now they need to react to Dutch
There are people who claimed Moana was offensive, but if that's true, then why it says here that it these places, whose cultures are the ones being represented in moana, it received a warmth welcome and that they saw it as a masterpiece? (And don't say irs because of the film's quality as movie, cause 2016's Split was also loved/feared by critics, but the Mental Health community hated it).
Hello Juan. For the first time, a film from a major international studio has been translated into Reo Tahiti (Tahitian language). It might be a cliché, but for the first time Polynesians can see a film telling their story in their own language. That's why !
This is beyond amazing, I loved this. This takes away a little of the disgust I felt by discovering there is no gaelic version of Brave
That would be a great project for someone to undertake. I hope someone takes up the task. I would certainly love to see the results.
Hello Bigouane Prods, you can speak Tahitian, right? If it is okay with you, do you think you could help me with a very short Tahitian awareness project I am working on, please? I will credit you for your help. I would really appreciate it :)
Yea, I’m convinced Arthur.
I cried when I watched Moana (French version) the first time at the theaters, here in Tahiti. Seeing, watching the story of our ancestors on the big screen was really moving. And when I learned that it was going to be released in my native language, boy was I emotional. I cried. Way too much.
Je sais que tout le monde a déjà dû le demander mais : où peut-on regarder Moana en tahitien svp ? J'adore ce Disney mais je voudrais tellement le voir dans ma langue !!! I know the question had to be asking but : where did we watch Moana in tahitien pls ? I love this Disney but I'd like so badly to see it in my language !!!

Te reo Tahiti sounds like French dialect of te reo maori!
What happens when Hollywood makes a movie that people want to help make. More movies should be like this
Why not have a full version?
thana kit There will be if you just have some GOD DAMN FAITH!
1:42 in and I’m already crying watching those babies being able to see someone like them in THEIR LANGUAGE on the screen
Great work, beautiful!
Tamatoa is missing yikerssss!!!!!!!!
I'm currently learning Hawaiian, I would love to, and plan to, lean Tahitian too. This video was beautiful and I would love to see Moana in Tahitian.
Language ain't to different
If you learn 1 polynesian language and become fluent I'm sure it wouldn't be to hard for you to learn the others
Just remember that in Tahitian, nearly always, every letter is pronounced. Different that way from Hawaiian.
Ayo that's awesome! I'm learning Tahitian :D
Je suis fière de mon origine (Polynesie française)
The price to watch this film would be $1,000 from US or €1.500 from Europe. It is the price to buy a round-trip to Tahiti!
We need muneh..
The voice over guy is familiar hmmmm
NO PINKERTONS HERE ARTHUR
Why has a Tahitian soundtrack not been released yet??? It's been over a year since the movie came out, yet all I can find online is How Far I'll Go in Tahitian.
The film Moana in Reo Tahiti (Tahitian language) was created for educational purposes. The film is only broadcast in Tahiti in schools. It is not possible to see it anywhere other than Tahiti. The only song of the film diffused is "We know the way - Tātou te horomoana": czcams.com/video/1yn9mKqDuHM/video.html
@@BigouaneProds The Māori renditions of the entire soundtrack have been made available on spotify and on other sources. Surely the agreement made with the Māori cultural association was the same as the one made in Tahiti?
@@Mac_an_Mheiriceanaigh No, it is precisely not the same arrangement. The one spent with the Tahiti team is completely non-commercial, free and voluntary, for the benefit of children in French Polynesia for learning the language in schools. So we have more distribution constraints than the other teams who have a commercial arrangement with Disney.

This should be looked at as pure entertainment nothing else. Shouldn't be study as Polynesian culture, Disney is a money making company. This story line as been done before just with different characters(Mulan) If you want your language to survive then write our own stories, produce our own low budget films😊
You must be fun at parties
Kanakalala🌺 how did you know.. haha
Yes but Disney is huge compared to us. They'll make money but we'll have a chance to showcase our culture

Great story. I wish there was better access to Polynesian culture here in Europe. I hope we will see more touring musical acts or performing arts in the future. It’s very interesting and exotic to Europeans. We want more!

I look at many of these people and wonder which of them modeled for the characters. The characters could easily have sat with these people and not even be noticed. Someone did a very good job with the characters.
