More than 80 TRAPS members and Parks & Recreation advocates convened in Austin on January 26, 2023 to take part in “Walk the Halls” at the Capitol. Groups were organized by home district and packets of information pertaining to TRAPS and our Public Policy Platform were taken to each of the 181 offices of the Texas Legislature (31 Senate & 150 House).

The 2023 Institute and Expo was a huge success. We had over 1,000 park and recreation professionals from around the great state of Texas join us in Frisco for 100 educational sessions, networking, and important events like our State Maintenance Rodeo, Danny Boykin TRAPS State Golf Tournament and more.
