In the 1980s, between when I was 25 to when I was 35, I went from having never flown in an airplane to an instrument rated private pilot with 400 hours. Quite the interesting journey! So far as commercial flights, the flight itself is great, usually quite peaceful, the airport, not so much.

I still remember my first time and as it was going up it felt like a rollercoaster

Nothing like your first flight! I was 5 years old in a propellor plane in 1956. No matter the diagrams and scientific explanations about flight, to me it's a miracle!

I think you did really well! And the more you fly, the more you can relax and enjoy the experience. I once had a very early flight and the plane was scheduled to be in the air at sunrise. We were above the clouds when the sun peaked over the horizon. It was one of the most beautiful landscapes I have ever seen.

I remember my first flight, from Houston Intercontinental Airport to (then) Denver Stapleton, in June 1977. It was a (then) Texas International flight, 2 hrs 30 min., it was a night flight. Was flying with my sister (also her first flight) to visit my dad who was living in Denver....nervous. we sat in the first row next to the galley/flight crew so they could keep an eye on us. I was 12 my sister was 8. We were flying alone..😊

I love these types of videos. I did most of my flying as a young kid, so it wasn't scary for me because the fear of death wasn't even a thing haha. Plus I always loved the take-off. I'd pretend it was a fighter jet, and we were being calling into a battle for a mission haha Now the only thing I fear about flying, is the price of the ticket or getting a middle seat.

Is it worse than roller coaster? Cause i cant handle those drops . Only ridden a coaster once when i was young and never again. Those drops and that feeling are horrible. Hopefully its not like that

I used to fly a lot as a kid. Flown at least 20 times by the time I was 12. Earlier this year (2023) I flew again after 20 years not flying. It felt like my first time flying all over again, it was great but also kinda nerve wracking.
