Hi there! Out of curiousity, where does refurbished generally fall on the scale? I recently purchased an omd em1 with a shutter count less than 1,500 and this camera looks and feels like it is fresh out of the box. I can't believe that a 10 year old camera can be in such pristine condition.
I would really like to have a modern version of this camera.
Great shots Jesse!
Since some may be influenced by the glowing comments in the video, I'll take this moment to toss in some reality. First, the camera was a joint project, with Fuji making the lens and Cosina making the body. Both sold exactly the same camera under their respective brands. I waited a year before first sales to buy one because it is quite similar to my loved but troubled Fuji GS645 but for the different formats, and I'm well adapted to the 6x7 format with my Pentax 67 system. No price was announced in advance of introduction, and I expected and was prepared to buy at around $1,300, which was big money back then. However, the GF670 was introduced at a thousand dollar more, some $2,400. I could afford that price, but the camera just wasn't worth that much to me, so I fretted for a couple of years waiting for the price to drop, but it never did. Actually, it wasn't sold for very long as such models go, as the price point killed initial sales potential, and it never gained a popular interest later. To further reduce its profit, the GF670 proved to have several metering and body-related problems, causing loss from service warranty claims. After a fairly short production run, Fuji liquidated its stock on had to B&H, which spent years trying to sell it off at a $1,500-1,700 price point. That was hampered, as its inherent problems became more public while Fuji terminated factory warranty service. Frankly, I would not recommend one today, even if you are prepared to love it within the bounds of its operating limitations. It may be a dust-catcher tomorrow.
I love my 1937 Zeiss Super Ikon Special (Zeiss f3.5 Tessar). Ps: it's smaller and lighter and has a bigger negative Plus an extremely sharp lens. The Fuji is probably OK also.
Well, there were a relatively few Super Ikonta models made in 6x9cm using 120 film, and even 6.5x11cm using 616 film, but they are all "heavy metal" and not lighter than a GF670. Also, the lens on the GF670 has the advantage of 50 additional years of computer design and one or two additional corrective elements (depending on which lens your Ikonta sports), so the Fuji will take a superior technical photo and leave change for your Ikonta. The vast majority of Super Ikonta models out there use the same 120 roll film, but shoot a smaller 645 or 6x6cm format with a Tessar lens.
Such a beautiful camera. Hopefully one day I'll have enough cash to pick one up.
Like the beat
thats getting expensive
I NEED THAT!!
isn't it beautiful? 😍

@@mikemoir2603 We appreciate that greatly. It makes such a big difference. Thanks Mike!
People need to know where they can get a fair shake. Thanks for being there👍🏽
Bravo! That cardboard box to packing material machine is the best!
We love it!
I just keep an extra 2 rolls of 35 on hand at all times 😅
It's nice living in Indy and having access to this place. I always check out what they have in K and M42 mounts. As others have stated they are very conservative in their grading.
It’s a really cool piece of nostalgia. It’s a shame the quarter-frame format didn’t catch on.
Ive been loading it on the spool and then pull is across for years.
Thank you guys, I know I've always been happy with the customer service when buying your stuff, keep it up😃
This is only relevant to an M3 etc with that spool rather than the newer bodies
I’ve been buying from UPP for years and always been satisfied. All the equipment I’ve received was better than expected and working great. Keep it up.
They are ok. Bought a manual lens they said was mint and it was. They said everything worked like new. When it got lens. It took the power of thor to turn the focus ring. The most important function of a manual lens. When it called them. It was hold to me that was "normal" for a lens that had not been used in a while. Long story short, it need to be regreased. Good thing I purchased the warrantee.
Congratulations on 10 years--Here's to 10 more!
Thank you, Christopher!
This was a very good, helpful video. To me, this makes it a LOT easier to figure out what to do when on your website, etc.
Good stuff!
Thanks, Emery - good stuff!
These guys are good! I try to buy all my used gear (about all I look for) from UPP. When you can get low mileage, near mint condition used gear at 60-70% the cost of new, it's a real bargain! Their grading is very conservative - you would be delighted with "good".
Great place to find excellent, used gear. I buy almost everything from these guys now.
It’s like Christmas... 😀. You should have a weekly show of new stuff. 😆
Wow! What a difficult topic to tackle! Love the lighting design and the set design😀
I looked up a used battery grip for my Nikon D750 and your best one is priced higher than a brand new one on B&H. Go figure.
Hi there - Thank you for pointing out the price difference. We do our best to keep up with all of the new rebates and price drops but sometimes we miss some!
Nice! Thank ya'll for the great customer service on my last order.
Thank you for the support! Much appreciated!
All of my gears but 2 were bought from usedphotopro. I have saved thousands of dollars and none of them disappointed me.
I wish I was in Indy. I need a flash for a d80 Nikon
Great used lenses as advertised. Fast shipping. I'm a happy camper!
