Two games as there wasnt one yesterday - im having some serious issues with the editing PC. I might consider changing the motherboard. Both games are the Cartridge version, released in the early 80s. Pretty fun actually

Neat looking game. So many spikes on that 1st level, though :)
Is Paul REALLY the best though???
My god, the skill issue.
Good video, but you don't need to include the distracting and noisy music backtrack. It is frustrating when trying to hear your dialogue.
Impressive. Looking at this game you'd never know the C64 only has 8 hardware sprites
Wow and people thought the SMS version was jank.
that runs at a v.good speed for the c64, the ST versions looks okay as well
1992 eternaly!!!
Somehow I see myself sticking with the NES port
Yes, the intro music sounded different on my older breadbin-64. I usually don't notice these things, but in this case it seems obvious as the digital samples sound so muted. Anyway, brilliant game and excellent music. I've streamed the intro music to the car radio more than once to get into the right kind of driving mood :)
looks a good version will have to try it, I grew up with the Atari ST one
I was surprised when I first saw this! JSYK, in Egypt (the country I'm in rn), BBC News (formely BBC World News), still continues in SD, meaning you can watch it on an SD-capable receiver, and on HD receivers also. And we also have a plenty of other BBC Channels such as BBC News Arabic which continues in SD as well, same with BBC News Persia, still continues in SD, making it easy for people who only have an old CRT TV and an old SD-capable receiver to *still* view BBC World News, BBC News Arabic, and BBC News Persia.
Wow, I remember the Lynx version looking smoother
I dig Dig Dug.
I no longer unwanted Freesat+HD 4K anymore because poor lost nine channels gone another charge Freesat from Sky Box show Great! Channels available service got work happy.
No wonder the Master System port of Hang-on was a big deal, if alternatives were like this.
Brilliant review thank you! That’ll save me £72 a month from next month!
I miss mine. Bought it in '08, loved it - ran XP pro on it with a 1gb ram upgrade, it hooked to a small TV as a second screen and played Half-life no trouble. The little program EeeCtl which granted manual fan control was a godsend. Later my use for it went away and it was gathering dust so I lent it to my stepson, who broke it...
Hey, Paul. Will you kindly review an assortment of these 8-bit gems, pleez? i just bought one of these! and guna set it up so thanks for showing this! would love to have the link to the archiive you found i couldnt find it? or yeah an iso would be amazing!
If that was on for one more second that microwave would have exploded
Looks like a great game. Never played this one, but the graphics are very similar to Turbo Outrun, which I still like today. Both games were made by Probe Software. I guess I'll need to give this a go :)
A lot of c64 driving games used this similar way / engine.
Great Game!
Got the cartridge version ❤
paulisthebest3uk, the king of retro reviews!
Best game I play it
The title sounds Mad Max inspired and that enormous heads-up display seems excessive.
Blimey!! I remember playing this back in the day... not clapped eyes on it since!
Haha nice work, is the song Lily the Pink maybe? Would make sense!
greedy ass company but i love sky so much
Thanks for posting this. Little info exists on this version.
Shocking enough you actually recorded the footage of the digibox on the day of the red bee fire incident that affected channel 4 and channel 5 and almost all of the tv channels
I remember the RM Nimbus machines! Ours ran over a BNC coax network which was great until someone disconnected the terminator end caps. I used to have a stack of RM 380Z machines that my school threw out for a while. I learnt the dangers of static electricity and the damage that it can do to expansion boards back then.
yes
smashed that dislike button
You can't go wrong with a bit of Dizzy! 🥰
I never even knew Commodore 64 had a Contra.
The Messenger might've been some inspiration for this...
this is basically cruelty squad mixed with rainbow islands on meth, the later levels are basically unviewable even on Archimedes and the 256 colour mode
Sure looks smoother than Sonic R 🙃
Also known as Gryzor
It was like on ABC Sports.
I like KABC-TV.
I played the European SMS version with a good friend last year.
I still need to try the N64 original.
Hey there, what's shakin. Think you can slot in these few games before June arrives, please? Chibi-Robo! Killer 7 Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem WarioWare: Mega Party Games!
Back in the day most TVs used an old aerial cable with Sky, and the ARIEL in was connected to the roof top aerial as Sky didn't have rights to ITV Channels as it was in direct competition to On/ITV Digital, a message would pop up to say "Press TV and then 3 to watch ITV"
A fun game!
Awesome video; a hotel that I stayed in 2022 was still using Sky Boxes for transmitting various channels to each rooms as one of the channels was BBC Four and it just broadcasted the EPG now and next banner before BBC Four starts showing programmes! Also the press red and press green for adding a programme to the planner also were shown!
The 3D era of MK was forgettable to say the least. 2D remains the best dimension for this series. And that old saying goes, "red sky at night shepard's delight, but a red sky at morning shepard's warning".
Amazing game. Had it back in 2004 when it was new and absolutely loved it. Finally bought it again for the first time in 20 years and my god it still is so freaking awesome.
