At the door if you take the top bar and put it at the bottom and raise the door it creates a little barrier so animals dont try to escape while youre entering or exiting.

I have 2 of them. They are garbage. You can do much better for much cheaper with chicken wire and 2x2s. Mine are rusting out and falling apart after just 1.5 years. Absolute garbage. Had the tarp on the back that filled with water and collapsed the entire ceiling that i had to reenforce with lumber. All those zip ties when a stapeler would work great on 2x2s.

hi. i feed my two road iland red hens , with huge cockroachs , at most of nights here. QUESTION1 : is it wrong to let them eat cockroaches?! QUESTION2 : how many hours takes time , for that eaten cockroach, to change into eggs? QUESTION3: does this effect on egg's taste?! QUESTION4: should we eat eggs made out of cockroaches? or let them to change into baby chickens?! 🐣🐥

our neighbors just let the chickens free range and they seem to be doing ok, they have a house to go to that sits off the ground. I'm surprised bnecause we have our fair share of coyotes and such, but the yseem to be doing ok...,They do have a roster though

Mine looks so much like your white chicken! She lays cream colored eggs which is so interesting, and our other Easter egger lays the greenish blue ones like you showed. They're a beautiful breed ❤

I got 3 hens don’t know how old they are we had them one week first time letting them out so friendly, my dog loves them.

I have an extremely small chicken that squats and she’s no older then 3 months

The problem with this run is amazon forgot to cover one side of it .... The bottom. Biggest pests dig under. Raccoons. Also clam shell pieces on the ground for added calcium and thicker shells. Red bulb in hen house at night to help lay eggs. Chickens fav snack is a handful of rice.

Just got 20 of these chicks this spring. It's the first year the June bugs haven't ravaged my grape leaves and I haven't seen any boxelder beetles in the yard make it to adulthood. These guys are awesome foragers. I thought chickens would be so much more work but these guys are incredible. They put themselves to bed at night before the auto-door closes, they've ganged up on the one cat we thought would give them problems.. just amazing birds. Still a month or two away from egg production.

Hi, do you have or know where to get a buff orpington chicks in Houston? I ordered some from an online hatchery but they didn’t have them so they sent me a different breed instead

I just got a hen . She has a damaged paw. She was kept in a cage. She is atleast 8 months. I was concerned about her personality as she didn't freerange. Thank you for info. I have 2 rhoade island reds. A rooster and hen . I have had them since they were chicks. I didn't realize that their personality types were so different. My Reds are extremely outgoing. I didn't realize that my new hen, Tabby would have such a different personality. I have had her for a few weeks. Her foot is healing. Your description makes alot of sense to me. She likes to hang out under the shade of a tree or bush. She is kinda lazy. She would rather be hand fed then forage. She is just amazing. She actually likes to get pet without being picked up.Before I got her she was never outside of a cage let alone free ranged . It is amazing how she could get over her caged life and trust humans so quickly. She loves being held . Birds are weird. I am a dog person.

Your zip ties will become brittle and break from exposure to the sun. Would be best to go back over with the wire.

I take some ivermectin also it doesnt taste great but it is a miracle drug they are still studying against covid

Ivermectin is very good for alot of things i use it on my dogs. Thanks for the red pepper and oregano trick

I bought a slightly smaller version and its pure garbage. Nothing will keep out any predators with that thin chicken wire and if you have a top on it snow or heavy rain will crush it. I see disaster ahead. but hope not
