Book the trip to sit in the house and watch tv and play candy crush the whole time you were here??? you got what you paid for should have done more research have plenty of nice rental houses but you researched motels again don't come back weekend-warrior 🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕
My wife and I stayed in that hotel. Not fancy but it was still nice. I'd stay there again.👍

Not knowing the area when I packed up and left that place, I just took the 1st place I could find - Hatteras Island Inn. I would have loved to stay somewhere on Old Lighthouse Road. 😊
Is in safe area how far from Bricktown
We felt very safe. It was like a tiny hotel neighborhood - only like 3 hotels and nothing else in the immediate area. It was also under a 5 minute drive to Bricktown. 😊

@wondrvrse It's not all that close to the ferris wheel (maybe about 10 minutes away) and it's slightly north so all good. 😉 And don't miss the Centennial Land Run Monument. - it's impressive!!

No amount of diligence would have uncovered that the TV and internet didn't work. Maybe pay attention. And yes, I did have a great time in Outer Banks - just not there since I left and stayed at Hatteras Island Inn instead.

Hi! Thank you for the compliment!! 🥰 The gun range (pellet guns) and archery range is at Unicoi State Park. And it was only a few dollars to do both. We loved it - which is why I didn't video much - too busy enjoying it. It was only about 30 minutes from the lodge and probably not even 10 minutes from Helen. Thanks again so much for commenting!!! We stayed in the center cottage back in 1997. It was the cheapest price we could find but we knew that you get what you pay for. So I’m thinking that you were shopping for the cheapest price but expected more.
Actually I was not looking for the cheapest, but I did search for what I thought was the best deal. The place I moved to when I decided not to stay here (Hatteras Island Inn) was much cheaper and a far better location and deal. However, even if the cheapest price would've been the main reason for booking, that doesn't excuse the TV and internet not working and them telling me nothing would be done for a few days (after I would be gone). Not even an attempt to move me or send someone out to take a look. Thank you so much for taking time to comment. I love hearing from people!

My wife and I have been going to Hatteras Island since 2004 and we learned about a lot of the photographic trickery the real estate agencies use to make things look more presentable when, in fact, its as close to a lie as possible. That being said, my wife just did a 4 second search for what you thought you were getting versus what you got and the website is pretty clear on the difference between them. All that was necessary was to scroll down to see the difference between the beach rooms and cottages and the village cottages. Hint: aerial view everything you want to rent.
Thank you for commenting with some constructive criticism and help - it is truly appreciated! I usually do a lot of research on the places I stay but for this one I think I was just soooo excited to stay here that it got away from me. I was truly heartbroken and upset when I got there. 💔

Omg I agree with you! Worst place we’ve ever stayed anywhere. Mouse droppings, flies galore. The one tv was in the “living room” and you had to break your neck to watch it. Listen to this video and if you don’t, you’ve been warned.

😊 I made down here yesterday afternoon! 850 miles! I drove down to Kat's deli for lunch (very good) and I go a call from the inn at 1 pm to see if I would like to check in early! Awesome! I felt ambitious so I hiked all the way to the point and back 7.3 miles.

Went to this hotel yesterday, and had to leave within only 30 minutes because of black mold on the ceilings and all over the tub and under the doors, the bed sheets had brown specs all over it, and their was no hot water. Also found 3 cockroaches in the room also with bedbugs
