This movie is a true classic. When George was going to sue everybody he crossed paths with, the only case he might have lost would be trying to sue the bus company for putting him off because he had no money. The bus driver was only doing his job, and might get fired if he gave them a free ride, and his supervisor found out. If he had won enough of those other cases, he might be able to buy out the company that he was being interviewed by.

Kellermen went through a lot of trouble to make it to his job interview on time, only to turn it down. As they were flying over the city in preparation for landing, before being put in a holding pattern, they thought of it as a beautiful city. It may have looked beautiful from the air, but when they finally did get into the city, they found lots of things not so beautiful about it, and decided that NYC was not their kind of town. If he had sued everyone that he said he was going to sue, and won every case, he might have wound up being one of the richest men in the world.

She wanted to get married by saying she deserves more than this. That's why she broke up with Joe because he didn't want to marry her after five years so she went looking for someone who would give her a marriage and a family.

I don't think that the moment where it Carrie folds down the edge of the card has been praised enough. It is sheer genius. She folds down the card because you know that if he ever gets divorced, she will then be able to unfold it. I want to know if that was the work of Nora Efron, Rob Reiner, or Carrie Fisher herself.

This is legitimately one of the funniest movies ever made. It’s like “Planes, Trains and Automobiles” before 1987. It’s just a shame younger audiences can’t enjoy this type of humor.
