zhlédnutí 15KPřed 9 lety
This movie is in loving memory of a great guy and pilot mate I meet up north, a father, husband, friend and family man Tom K. from Cloncurry Qld. Here we see him operating his Hornet STOL aircraft in some of the places in his Outback country. He loved to fly and spent long days in the Hornet STOL working the cattle, inspecting fences and bores , pipelines lines, fighting Bush fires, ferrying pe...

Taking the nimble Hornet CUB for a check flight in the Outback of Australia. The agile and precise handling of this STOL aircraft makes it a delight and fun to fly Utility/ mustering aircraft. Hey Olle….you back in biz with Hornet?
Hi Kevin, what do you mean with back in biz…? We have never stoped working 6 days as week since 2003 and are snowed under as usual keeping every one safe and flying…
@@hornetguruhornetguru1745 is this Ollie? Maybe I have the wrong address? We discussed bringing the Hornet to the USA
Yes Kevin its Ole from AAK better contact me on aircraftkits@bigpond.com
Yeah slatted stol wing, but usable on conventional gear, the nose wheel ruins the zenith
I’m looking into one day getting an AAK wasp, good idea?
I guess it’s a good idea, but like a storch or 701 or anything else with leading edge slats it’s really slow, like 60knots so it’s no good if you wanna fly somewhere, it’s just for mustering or back country access for fishing or hunting etc in USA. In Australia the ‘back country’ is big and dead flat, you could land a king air on most of it!
Has this aircraft been moved to the Raaus register
Hi does it have two seats
yes
Hi how does it fly any vibration would it be good for 600 km trips or more
Looks like a Zenith wing that's designed by Chris Heintz!
How does she fly matt from Ontario canada
A highly impressive, underrated machine that would be right at home here in Africa, I am looking to either set up to distribute this model here or work with the designers to develop a modified variant for the African market, I can be contacted at flymachineart@gmail.com
How can you have 120% visibility?
Degrees?
Mark Rap ...thanks for that. There's a typo in the graphics.
how would somebody 6 foot 2 fit . a little tight?
How much are these going for?
Deserves to be he term known. STOL, tail wheel, rotax power! What's not no like? Zenair eat your heart out.
lovely thanks
$?
nice video, why the stupid mmusic? would rather hear the engine and the rush of air!
Nice looking plane. The motor sounds like a Rotax. BTW, I’m sure the abbreviation for knots is not ‘ktn’.
TURBINE VERSION?
TurbAero might be an option 150hp might be a bit much but hey...who doesn't want more power?
Turboprop version?
what happened to him?
Iwould really love to have one of these they are great aircraft and reliable
Nice job. Great STOL stats. Love it. A website would be handy, like prices etc.
Get rid of the bloody noise. (The kind fast food joints call hurry up eat up and 'eff off' "music") It got rid of me about half way through the first take-off roll. Pity. Seems a great little aeroplane.
Would have been good to see how it handles some of road work! Not a Nancy airfield
I knew nancy as well
Nice!
More video on conseption and detail of this jewel!!
