Onboard footage from the #63 1966 Ginetta G4R driven by Michael Sweeney, Sr. in the 2014 Monterey Reunion. He finished 4th despite being down on power due to a cylinder head problem that developed during that weekend. The head was subsequently rebuilt with remachined lifter bores to eliminate the high rpm miss.

    +10 for another 1600! You're keeping some pretty fast company. Looks like you're dancing at the limit. Shifting by sound/feel?

    • @pacificthrottlehouse2033
      @pacificthrottlehouse2033 Před 7 lety

      Yeah, the tach doesn't really work above 6300, so by sound it is. We're fixing that for Monterey.

    Nice run! Really working that wheel! Are you running a later recirculating box or the worm gear box?

    • @pacificthrottlehouse2033
      @pacificthrottlehouse2033 Před 7 lety

      Thanks! It's still the old style box. It seems to work well enough, but after driving it I think the front end's definitely gonna get some new bushings!

      Pacific Throttle House I put the late box in my 67 and it really makes a difference. I also used urethane swaybar bushings. I put all new spindle bushings on as well as new upper and lower balljoints. The steering is very tight. I was supposed to race with you but blew the motor at Buttonwillow a few weeks earlier.
