The call to prayer for Jews is by blowing a ram horn, no human voice is involved in such a call for prayer; just as there is no human voice involved in the call to prayer for the Christians, just bells. Only Muslims use their voice to call for prayers. By the way, Islam in Arabic means - Submission to the God -. Which God? well... the God, and only the God, of Abraham/Moses, the God that Jesus so much prayed. The word in Arabic for those who submit to The One and only God is - Muslim(a). So, The Virgin Marry, her son Jesus and all the Prophets before him are, according to the Arabic language, Muslim; that is because they all submitted to the true God, All Mighty. Interesting, first time hearing this. I love the sound of Jewish cantors but rarely get to hear them. Is there anything more moving and powerful as the Muslim Adhan, though? I'm not Muslim but the adhan touches everyone who hears it.

Have you read the Guru Granth Sahib? It's very beautiful and wise.
