UP 1943 - SD70AH When I started researching Special Interest Units, UP 1943 was always my favorite looking unit. Today, 02/05/24…… I finally got to see it. This engine did not disappoint and I would like to thank all of the veterans for their service.

Ive had dreams that I saw trains but missed the heritage. I've only seen 1 heritage in person. Which was Amtrak 42. So glad you could catch it
Guess we have something in common!
They all have nathan 6 chimes which really surprises me i thought they would all have 3 chimed whistles
The vast majority of Crown Metal 3ft locomotives have this whistle.

great video, what are the main visual differences between the gp38 and sd40? I noticed the radiator vents on the gp38 aren't under the back wing as they are in the sd40?
I can only imagine how much hot ash it was blowing out it's stack starting like that

The mighty CSX is my favorite class 1 railroad because I'm used to it the most where I live. So I'd personally give it the #1 spot, but I also like Norfork Southern too. Nice rankings on each class 1 railroad, especially CSX being higher than the legendary Norfork Southern.🔵🟡⚫️⚪️
