I first managed to play this about a year after the song was out. No tabs or internet back then,destroyed a record (lp) to figure it out. Yes it may not be exact, but I wanted to play it now as a tribute since they got back on stage together. That was a great backing track, really challenging to make a melody stand out. More metalheads should have bouzoukis. Over a decade ago, before the dark times of kids, marrige and balding, when I used to play with my friends we played mostly metal but one of guys took his bouzouki to our session. Man, combination of metal and bouzouki was out of this world. Cheers!

So your videos inspired me and I decided to go out and buy a bouzouki! I have 0 experience with guitars or strumming so I have no idea where to start. Any advice you can give me on how I can go from unable to use both my hands to being able to play songs like you do? Closest instructor is not very close to me.
What really? I feel honored my friend that I (among many others I pressume) inspired you to begin the wonderful jouney of music. The first advice that comes to mind, is to take it slow but steady and practice as much as you can, even if it is for half an hour,but do it every day. Second advice would be, even though there is a plethora of free info on the net, it can be overwelming and counterproductive if you do not know what you are looking for. Even if you do not have a tutor near you, you can easily arrange skype lessons with whoever inspires you as a teacher. I cannot help you with the bouzouki as I am not such a player. I play electric guitar and this video was meant for fun,not to insult bouzouki players, they are a whole different world, like classical guitar or violin. If however you choose to play electric guitar, I would be more than happy to share any piece of advice or even teach you online. Just hit me up. Thank you again for your wonderful words!

Absolute legend
At 4 string bouzouki is very easy for a guitarist to play cause the strings have the same tune as the 4 down guitar string(1 note down, CFAD)
Absolutely true! A 3string is also easy if you tune it DAD! I just have fat fingers and can't really fit them in the narrow space of the 3 string easily...
It's actually an 8 strings but like a 12 strings guitar, 2 strings are played for one note
