A new project: Toro 26624
zhlédnutí 541Před měsícem
Once again, I bought a mower that needs some work. The fim quality isn't as good but I wanted to see if I could do something with it at least. 4 stroke Suzuki TV5004(?)
54 minutes of (early)mowing with the Toro 22043.
zhlédnutí 983Před 3 měsíci
Grass wasn't terribly high, but there were a few patches. Also trying the mulch plate that I bought for it, and show off a couple saw projects that I'll be filming at some point. I'm hoping to have some of the cold starts ready by April.

21 minutes of mowing with the Lawnboy 8073B and the Stihl BR800
zhlédnutí 1,6KPřed 11 měsíci
Flooded the 8073B but got it running, the BR800 really needs a carburetor as I've adjusted it to factory specifications and it won't idle, plus the purge bulb doesn't pull fuel.
19 minutes of the Lawnboy 10324 and partial usage of the Stihl BR800
zhlédnutí 610Před rokem
the grass might be dead/dying but I wanted to mow before it rained. 10324 seems to be running ok but still may need to slightly tweak the rpm a little bit lower.
Lawnboy 10324-FINALLY replacing the broken throttle control cable and starting it.

Last time I used the 10324 was April/May of last year when the throttle cable broke. Finally got around to replacing it and starting it.
Seized Husqvarna 141 Chainsaw. Freeing the Engine, Checking Spark and Attempting to Start.
zhlédnutí 1,2KPřed rokem
Bought a Husqvarna 141 saw with a seized engine. Managed to free it up, and... I'll let the video show the rest. all I need is the right bar for it. *note: the bar that's on it currently was pulled from a nonworking saw, this is NOT the correct bar for it but for testing purposes it worked pretty well.*
Mculloch Mac 10-10 Automatic PT 2- Fixed Recoil and Carb Adjustment Attempt

The spring for the Mac 10-10 Automatic's recoil came, so now that it's working again I decided to attempt to get the carburetor dialed in a bit better. still have a ways to go.

Decided to mow again. I think this is the longest video I've posted so far. For this one I'm using the following: -1966 Lawnboy 6252 Commercial C19 (with a temporary wheel installed) -Stihl FS85R -Echo PB60HT

I'm going to be working on building some type of shelving so I can properly store the lawnboys among other stuff*

*Note: this is my first time working with one of these saws. bear with me. there IS a bit of swearing(ok, it's one word, but still throwing it out there) in this too.* first attempt of getting a Mculloch 10-10 Automatic chainsaw running. it didn't quite go as easy as I thought it would. Part 2 will be repairing the recoil assembly and (hopefully) getting it to idle.

What year is the mower made
I *think* it's a 2002. I haven't looked into it too much other than what was left of the sticker on the recoil shroud but I honestly don't know.
hi mistur vampire it is me Jaxon and my dad is Seans lawns and he told me I am allowed to watch your channel by myself because you are a very good landscaper and you are nice to people and it is a good example for me so I am happy I get to watch you and did you know I subscribed to you to yes I did so yes I am happy to watch you byeeeee
Nice mower i wanna get one
It's been a good mower 💯
Nice!
Camera to jumpy
I have one too. Mine runs perfect. Does take a bit to start. They are like 25 year old machines
Very true lol. I have this one, another pb400 that needs tubes, and a John Deere branded pb400 that I still need to finish putting together. Just need to find the time to get the ball rolling on everything
Nice backpack blower, is that a 45cc or a 51cc,
Are you referring to the Stihl SG17? I honestly have no idea what the cc rating for it is, but I'd never seen one before so I figured I'd add it to the lineup. I still have a few things I need to straighten out on it but I'm amazed it runs as well as it does.
That mower kicks ass
I recommend the SUNOCO non ethanol pump gas for that Lawnboy mower of yours 😊
hi the button is to hold a bit of throttle to start it from cold pull trigger and press button should hold at fast idle pull trigger and goes back to tickover have a few 1010s and there addictive!
Thanks!! I'll keep that in mind next time I pull it out and run it, I've got it pretty well dialed in so it runs way better than it did in this video and the update one i posted on it. It's definitely addicting, I'm hoping to eventually add another older Mculloch saw at some point.
Welbro not a very good video you left your camera laying down on the ground the whole time you were doing the lawn
Awesome cold starts 😃 Please show more!!
Most definitely will, have a few things I'm currently working on trying to get running, a couple "frankenmower" builds and some other assorted stuff. Hopefully by next year's cold start video they'll all be ready.
Great video ❤ What a pity you didn’t show the complete start after it was flooded
Didn't you have video inside before?
No, that was a different place. They tore it down awhile back
@GuitarVampire93 Oh do you still have that video posted?
When I first saw you putting gas in the Pb60ht, I was like What the heck are you doing?!?! You’re putting straight gas in there!? Oh wait never mind, you poured 50:1 in that can. LOL😂😂😂
Lol I can understand why it was confusing. It was actually 32:1; That's normally what I run the majority of my equipment on with the exception of a chainsaw, my 6252 and the snowboy that I still need to dig into. Only machine that gets 50:1 is the toro as that's what it requires.
This video is very informative. Lots of small engine repair videos on your channel, are you up for a collaboration to help more DIY repairs? Hipa supplies high-quality after-market parts and we are looking for CZcamsrs like you to share more helpful tips in small engine repair.
Stay after it
I hope it runs in the morning
Have a good night buddy
Have fun with your work project Lafblower
If yours has idling issues, check the idle jet. The tiny hole in the bottom of the jet clogs easily. Mine actually didn't have the hole drilled. These Mowers are outstanding.
I did clean the jets before starting it initially, but I'll definitely look them over again. I agree on the outstanding part, I've been using this one more than the lawnboys.
Sorry man but my 4 yr old niece could of held the camera better that that
What’s that other Stihl Box blower you have there? 420?
Its a BR340 that I originally bought as a parts unit, but I'm eventually going to put it together. I just have to get tubes, controls and a couple other small things
How do you pull apart the recoil. Trying to replace the cord but seems there are 2 hidden screws holding everything together
I'm running off of memory but I remember there were 3 hex/Allen bolts (don't remember exactly which) that hold the handle on. Pretty sure I had to take those off and the whole assembly came off with it but I'll have to double check when I pull it out of the shed again.
Some nice equipment there all the ole stuff started up pretty good 👍
Thanks :) yea, still have alot to pull out of there, the rest of what I know runs is buried under everything else so some reorganizing is in order.
2012?! But that didn't hit the market until 2019!🤨
I know. I was going off of the sticker on the side for whatever reason. Made note of it in the description.
@@GuitarVampire93 ah ok i see, didn't think to read that.
It is a 1966 6252. I had my eye on that one, glad it went to a good home. :)
Thanks :) I'm going to look for a model/serial plate for it eventually as the old one is missing.
@@GuitarVampire93 Your very welcome! on eBay there’s a seller by the name iplumb, he has very nice reproduction I’d plates. The correct one for this mower is blue and says Outboard Marine, Galesburg. Illinois with a “M” in the center. Just look up (Vintage Lawn Boy "M" Round ID Tag Reproduction Many Models!) and you should be able to find it. Hope this helps! :)
is that 10324 your old one? if so you should get a short block its totally worth it
That's the new one I bought last year. Currently having issues with the rpms being sky high, bought another carburetor but haven't had a chance to install it yet. I think the previous owner tried "fixing" it because it was fine for a bit then started acting up late last year. I'll get a short block for it too, I've been stocking up on spare engines just in case one of mine blows.
@@GuitarVampire93 Ok I am so glad you have another one those are great mowers and I have a 10323 and its great.
Gutiar Vampire93 ever get any 2cycle self propelled lawnboys?? let me know i got a 4 horse 2 cycle i will trade u i only run ethanol free gas in it
I have 5 2 cycle self propelled mowers currently. Lawnboys I have an 8157, L21ZSN, 8243AE1, and a 10234. Just got the 2 cycle toro at the end last week. I need to get them all running this year plus I'm working on restoring most of them. If I do decide to trade I'll definitely give you a heads up, I appreciate it.
@@GuitarVampire93 if you ever want to get rid of one those blowers let me know i am in il
@@GuitarVampire93 i like your 8157 thats what i am looking for
Tough engines.
Yep, matter fact I sold this one then bought another one not too long ago. Going to make a video on it soon.
Sounds great! You can find tanks on Ebay from time to time!
Definitely going to be on the lookout for one. I have a commercial Lawnboy that I'm working on rebuilding as well so I'll keep an eye out
Just know that this particular model is going to crap out on you at some point, more specifically the transmission. The transmissions are made entirely of plastic and it is going to fail. I had a D105; John deere did a recall on the transmissions because they knew that they were flawed by design. My local Deere dealer replaced the transmission with a new one and it failed right at 8 hours of use. The tractor had less than 20 hours on it. John Deere refused to fix it; a new transmission costs nearly $500. I sold it at a loss of about $800. The "D" and "E" series of lawn tractors are garbage and John Deere knows it. They sell them to compete with other low-end mowers on the market primarily at Lowes and Home Depot, and Deere will not take care of or support this demographic of customers. I was told this by my local John Deere dealer, and I know from my own experience dealing with John Deere.
They did the recall on this one as well. I've also had the flywheel fins explode on me, plus the valve cover leaked because there wasn't a gasket installed. The deck also doesn't like to stay balanced even though I've adjusted it several times to level it out. It currently has a flat tire, the (MTD branded) Bolens that I have gets used more than this one does now and cuts better in my honest opinion.
210 head
I dug out my HX-18? or 16? Homelite Hedge trimmer and was trying to find out what the petrol/oil ratio was meant to be. Wonder if you could tell me what you would recommend? The clip was really helpful, but you might want to put the recorder on the other side of the machine facing you so we can see what you are doing all the time. I'm a total novice so need to see what you touch when you are talking. Thanks heaps for the clip
Maggie Chan personally I would use a 32:1 ratio for yours, although alot of engines use different ratios(some older lawnboys use a 16:1 ratio), although I will use 40:1 of I don't have any mixed fuel made up when I'm working on anything 2 cycle related- just to make sure it runs. Next time I dive into working on this I'll try to get some angles showing what I do.
do you still have the mower or have you blown it up? lots of transmission problems it seems. mine went out today 8 26 2018. check on your secondary variable pully spring. that torx screw on top tends to back out . good luck
Butter Bean, I still have it. Had to reseal the valve cover and there was a recall on the transmission but so far it's held up pretty well. Thanks for the heads up on the torx screw coming loose, I'll definitely check that before I use it next time
Damn. Personally loved that you kept asking till you figured it out. Hope you had fun.
Alley of the Labyrith and the Unwritten stories yea, i was curious about it for awhile. Sometimes the best hints are the ones that are right in front of you even if you walk past it a million times
Did you guys ever get the boat in the water ?
Jared G Yeah, we used it for a year then sold it.
I have one just like that...a BP250. Gas leaks out of the carb. I took it off, took it apart, and it looks good. Could you tell me why gas would leak out of the carb? the fuel lines look good. Also, why did you replace the fuel lines on yours?
Gino Asci only things I can think of are a fuel line not being connected all the way, cracked bulb, or something wasn't tightened/set correctly when you put it back together. If I were you I would take it apart again, make sure everything is tight/set correctly, spray some carb cleaner in the ports and put it back together. If that doesn't work id buy a new carb, they aren't too terribly expensive. The fuel lines were shot when I received this, lasted me a year until the carb crapped out, at which point I junked it because I didn't have the patience at the time to put a new one on, plus I had another leaf blower I was also using. It was a good blower when it ran properly.
Hey moron, you shouldn't crank that thing any longer than 10 sec at a time, you'll break the gear on the starter!
frios011 Back when I originally made this I wasnt aware of that. Now I know better.
This ole' boy is a fine example of a Mindless Sperm Donor. Please, Please, Clean the carburetor.
Bwana Mann The governor spring was stretched and eventually broke when i tried adjusting the engine speed to factory specs. Replaced it, ran alot better. Also cleaned and adjusted the carburtor while replacing the spring. I sold this one when i moved.
how's the smart drive sytem working for you on this mower. i have the honda hrr216vka. your has a bigger more powerful engine. just wondering if you sometimes have to give it a little push to go?
Only time I have to is if I'm on an incline, but it's rare that I have to. Otherwise I like it
Cool thanks
I had the same mower and it sounded like that brand new. Never got better or worse and always ran, just sounds horrible.
Got rid of it last year. Had to replace the governor spring but after that it ran great
Aye the extra line is for a little white breather you may have to buy a hole new fuel line kit from home depot and is in $20
Yeah, that helped stop the leakage. Now that I have a new stihl this is mainly the backup one, but it's been good other then the idle issue, but I think I straightened it out
Dude! Clean the carburetor! The idle jet behind the sticker is part of the problem. Also Drop the bowl, flush out all the passages with carb cleaner. Run a small copper wire through the passages and Blow it all out. It will sound and mow great!
FIRST *put in troll face here*
we didn't put the carpet in because we're mainly using it for fishing. but we should have it out this spring after getting the trailer inspected and everything. runs better than any outboard we've owned :D
FIRST
i know i responded to your comment awhile back, but i figured i'd update you: last time I went there the entire place was boarded up. there looked like there was a way you could pry open one of the doors, but i didnt try it. of course, i'm out of school for good now (graduated in may), so i couldn't tell you how it looks now
Make sure you pull that idler screw because it will make it run rough and cause the low/high rpms. Only reason idle spring should be adjusted is if someone already changed it from stock. It's just one of those things. On the bright side, the idle jet is on the side you won't have to remove the carb at all or even loosen it, just peel back the sticker and unscrew it.
actually, I had to adjust the rpm's as it somehow messed itself up. now it runs better-i don't think I had the engine rpm set right originally :fail: (i think i had it set at 2400 or something, its now as close to 3000 as i can get it to run w/out blowing the motor up) but now it runs and mows way better than it did before.
