    Hi was wondering if you can help me. I have to disconnect and reconnect my battery to get the top working. Once I get it to work properly it will keep working great. The problem of that once I drive it somewhere it won’t close. It thinks it’s closed because the pump will only try if I pull back the tab. I then have to disconnect and reconnect the battery until the soft top starts working again. Again. It will work perfectly once I do this. But once I drive it somewhere I’ll have to reset it again. Thanks. Idk where to figure this out

    Great tutorial, every high mileage Merc with these engines is going to have these issues. Probably worth changing the cam shaft sensors and magnets while the accessories are unbolted.

    Great video. Would it throw a code if i have more than 10% loss? I am having symptoms such as a choppy idle that is intermittent and feels like misfire sometimes.. also occasionally white smoke comes out the tailpipe only when the car is idle. I have no codes. Also is this method better than the one I have seen where you need to pressurize the cylinder with an air compressor? I also thought the crankhsaft had to be turned manually i've seen in some videos.

      It is good to check compression for consistency that way you can omit the mechanic side of the engine out of the equation and it might throw a code in a severe case. Check the EGR, check the secondary air pump system. I have comprehensive video on this.

    Im having an issue wiring a similar bluetooth adapter to a blaupunkt stereo in my w123. I have wired the adapter into the main ground wire and the 12v ignition switch wire. It works and connects to a phone, and then suddenly the light goes off and bluetooth disconnects. Any ideas?? The funny thing is when I first wired it it i tested it for a while and it was just fine, next day it is disconnecting

    Great video thanks. Sorry this is off topic but as it's a recent video perhaps someone who can help will see this. I have faults on my CLK but no codes are identified when scanned at the garage (perhaps the software needs updating?) I don't own a scanner so is there a way I can check for myself without a scanner? I've heard that some vehicles show up the codes if you turn the key to position 2 then off 3 times whilst holding down the brake pedal. Any thoughts on this please?

      I hope someone answers your question but I think W209 is not equipped with such a thing to show you an error code. If you want to keep your car I highly recommend you to buy a proper diagnosis tool.

I should mention that I carried out the transmission reset from one of your other videos and it has solved a couple of problems (car not wanting to change up into 5th and occasionally getting stuck in 1st or 2nd gear).     Your camera angles are simply amazing as if we are also working on your W164..! A few experience to share: - I replaced my 722.6 fluid with MB-approved Shell 134 by inserting the fluid extractor tube. It reaches all the way down to the oil pan. This method avoids getting down the car & no need to open the pan or filter. - I use weight to measure fluid removed instead of volume with a simple postage scale so this avoids hot old fluid vs new cold fluid volume difference. My case came out 2700 gram (3.3L). Diff 722.6 will hold diff oil quantity. Final fluid level is set about 88°C from transmission module read-out & also inserting the 722.6 dipstick. - Lucky you do this in the winter. Here in Southern California, outside temp is easily 30~40°C so the fluid level adjustment window is very very short. I recently did my Toyota 6 speed fluid change which requires the same STUPID MB fluid check method. I had to stop my engine so the tranny temp doesn't keep raising beyond 40°C 😅 Amazing presentation as always 💯

    Very satisfying project for most of the cars from 2005 to 2015 that saves you hundreds of dollars in servicing if you do this as a DIY. When was the last time you changed the transmission fluid on your 722.6 or 722.9?

      @salvationbygracethroughfaith Hi mate, well, I think 722.9 is a robust and durable transmission already. This was the first fluid and filter change after 200K km, and the fact that it had not much metal particle and sludge can certify that fact. But for a 350 engine, I think that kind of modification is bit more than needed. Thanks for the tip though.

    Just followed your very easy to follow instructions for both the TCU and ECU. Finally the transmission shift as it used to. It would dog around corner and the RPM would increase when shifting from 3rd to 4th and now doesn't. The idle was always pretty good but sounds better now at around 500 RPM. Thanks for the tips and I will do them both et each oil change.

    I am not an expert but did your new NTG2.5 command unit come from a Mercedes with Harmon Kardon audio with external amplifiers? Maybe the head unit is expecting external amplifiers and the internal amplifier is disabled?

      I have tried disabling and enabling the external amp with no results. Unfortunately my conclusion is that the AMP used on Mercedes-Benz after 2009 is different so the older ones can not be recognised by the new head unit.

      Theoretically it should as the flow of air would increase. Practically it depends how old or dirty your air filter is now.

      The engine won't start or the air pump? If the engine won't start has nothing to do do with this code. Find another reason.

      I'd you mean a pin for the idler pulley to lock in place, you can use a 3mm drill bit.
