Hi, Thanks for sharing. I have a Nissan Navara 2008 manual, and the transfer box is making one hell of a noise. I bought online for 15 Euros the workshop manual, and it gives you step by step on what to do. I have a question what is the weight roughly of the transfer box. I am ready to pull her out; all is dismantled, but I did not want to force it. That's how I came across your video. Thanks once again.

Why did you replace your transfer case? Any symptoms?

Hi , i have a 2008 pathfinde r 51 , the problem i have is with the 4x4high , is not engaging , the light turns on , but nothing happens , 4x4 auto and 4x4 low work, the TRANSFER CASE LEVER CONTROL / solenoid no.33274-7S110 , or what is called , changes the 4x4 high to , or only the 4 low?

I am not sure if I understand your question. How do you know 4hi is not engaging? When you move the switch to 4hi and the light turn on. That is about it. Moving to 4lo by putting it in neutral and you heard a clunk. 4hi doesn't do that. One thing is when you are in 4hi on regular streets, you can feel the drive shaft binding which is different from 4 auto.

@@glenchang3103 is not doing anything , i know when 4high was engaged , you can feel the wheels turning , and when you steer it was different , and when in 4high , it made a sound when engaged , the switch is electric , not manual , i looked in to the service manual and and there are some solenoids inside the transfer case and 1 outside that moves the lever and engages 4LOW, and i want to know if this lever engages the 4high to , i never opened a transfer case , if i did i would understand it

@@jnep9756 ahh got you. You probably want to use a code reader. It will throw an error code if your solenoid is out.

@@glenchang3103 i did a Self-diagnosis and i get 4 errors: 1.Clutch pressure solenoid signal Proper voltage is not applied to clutch pressure solenoid valve due to open or short circuit. this is the lever you shown in the video 2.Vehicle speed signal (from ABS) ● Malfunction is detected in vehicle speed signal that is output from ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) through CAN communication. ● Improper signal is input while driving. (but the ABS is working) 3. CAN communication Malfunction has been detected from CAN communication line. 4. ABS operation signal (from ABS) Malfunction is detected in ABS operation signal that is output from ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) through CAN communication.

@@jnep9756 hmmm... well, it looks like it is not kicking out an error. All I can say is for someone to remove and open up and reseal your transfer case is about 700 to 1000 job. If remove the transfer and take it to someone just to open it up and reseal it is like 150 to 400 bucks. Replace an external part is not that hard, but you have to figure out which one or just replace them all. Just use my video as a guide. You can get a entire used part like I did at anywhere between 100 to 400 buck depends on mileage and someone else install it at 700. Or you can just live with it. Auto 4wd isn't that bad. I have that on all the time.
