I liked the original idea that when you die cocooned you slowly become an egg and reproduce that way than having a queen. It’s just way more terrifying and badass.

The ship was self destructing anyways, Ripley wasting time killing him, was redundant. And only saved him a couple of minutes of misery.

Powerful scene, this is from the face hugger VHS if I’m correct. I remember when it was out back in the directors cut it was shortened. Trying to think of a way they could integrate this without ruining the pacing. Ultimately cutting it was the right choice.
