The Mindful Classroom
United States
Registrace 22. 09. 2011
The Mindful Classroom explores mind, body, and spirit. This represents an offshoot of my coaching, so it explores meditation, Buddhism, Stoic Philosophy, and whatever I am reading at the time. I generally post 2-3 videos a week ranging from 5 minutes (Cold Plunges) to 30 minutes. In the future, I would like to work on more collaborative sessions with both interviews and discussions. At least once a week, the video will lead a meditation activity. Please feel free to email me (tjbelasco@gmail.com) with an suggestions and/or feedback. Thank you .

Thank you, TJ, and bless you, from Yorkshire, England.
When I was in high school , I always told myself to fake till you make it, but for a matter of fact, I didn't believe in my abilities. I loved watching your video, keep it up ❤
i’m on board 100% with the uneasiness of “fake it tell you make it”, so refreshing to hear you speak on the topic. great content here, keep it up! 👏🩵
Beautiful video ! Thank you ✨
This was awesome man thank you, currently interning at an engineering huge corporation and was starting to fake all interviews for a permanent role, I got rejected a lot and started to believe I was just not good at what I do or not valuable, this has been a great message!
Nothing better than a bald head . No hair is the best . IAM bald myself
I love the cause and have been doing this for 15 years. Too lazy to shave it daily though.
Beautiful barberette. Lucky customer.
She was fantastic.
I appreciate these
I am glad they are reaching people. Enjoy them.
Wheres this guy at it's 58° in Wisconsin!
Southern NJ. It will be warm soon but right now it is cold.
Well said!! Subbed
Thank you.
I have no idea how or why the CZcams algorithm suggested you. I follow zero mental self help channels and your view count is so low that I feel like someone would need to be specifically looking for your content to find it. It could be from voice skimmed phrases through my phone that the algorithm is picking up from my workplace (medical with lots of mental health related stuff). Iv watch about 3 videos and I really like your content and would be happy if you keep making it. I thought "what is this guys qualifications?" I was thinking, social worker but nope high school English teacher. Great job 👍
Well, thanks for the thumbs up. No idea how I was suggested.
Wow...maybe you tube thought you could use some chill. Relax bro.
Well, I'm humbled.
Well, thank you. This humbles me as well.
Your "meandering thoughts" are actually quite motivating.
Thank you. I try to put my thoughts together better on the longer Wednesday and Friday podcasts.
Very interesting and mindful video class i've learned a lot. I'm 20 years old and to be honest i haven't been reading a lot i only started reading in 2023 and i want to start reading poems so i will buy some of your recommendations (sorry if my english isn't perfect, english is not my first language ) :)
Your English sounds great. Thank you for your kind words. If you have any suggestions or anything you hope to hear, let me know. Be well.
dang ol' brother you looking good i kinda wanna try this..
It really does feel good afterward. It might be hard to get in, but it feels amazing getting out. And that lasts throughout the day.
Great perspective on life :)
Thank you. I miss teaching poetry, so lots more to come.
I think i will buy this book, it seems interesting. Impressive beard by the way:) Have a nice day sir.
Thank you. The book is fantastic. Also, look for any of the books by Ryan Holiday. He does a great job presenting stoicism.
🥶
This one was chilly.
21:53 As I was listening to this whole video, I also had some beginner Japanese vocabulary audio playing quietly in the background (it says a Japanese word, and then the English translation after it). Right after you said the part about some disturbing scenes staying with you from that one book, the word "kowai" (怖い) was mentioned, which means "scary." :o Hah! It was kind of funny, because I wasn't really paying attention to the Japanese audio since the volume was turned down so low, but that word suddenly popped out! Such timing! haha
Thanks for sharing. That is perfect timing.
Yeah that part around 15 minutes reminds me of an interview of Trent Reznor from the music band, Nine Inch Nails. He used to do drugs and in his process of getting clean, he really struggled with a fear that if he DID stop the addictions, then no one would like his music, anymore. But that's not the case, with him and other artists also, like you are suggesting in this video. Although the energy that goes into the music (anger vs calm) might attract different groups of people who resonate with whichever emotion is embedded into the tones. This is a good video. I'm a new subscriber. I like these, so far. I appreciate the deep thoughts. I'm still in the process of figuring out my unique thing that I can share with the world. I thought it would be gardening (creating a food forest to share with others), but each time I try to garden over the past 1-2 decades, it keeps getting blocked, so to speak. (Due to moving around so much and never actually having my own land). So my second option is to "do energy work," and share that with others, although I'm still trying to figure out what my own personal special "thing" will be. (I'm 43 years old, lol... Wish me luck. '>.> )
Thanks for listening. Basically, Rick Rubin point says we need to nurture those creative endeavors. Even looking at some of our attempts which may not succeed; however, we can take aspects of these projects and shape them into something else.
