@@zachromero5637 That is honestly wonderful to hear, thanks for thinking of my little channel after all these years. Yeah, it's been a bit but honestly I have only been working on doing the whole CZcams thing in the last year for actual growth. It's always been a hobby channel here and I am on twitch as well still playing games. The Algorithm on CZcams is its own beast to play against which is why I have these no commentary videos going out 3 times a week to help keep the evil thing fed, as well the stream VODs and what not also being uploaded. I always want to make sure there is uploads for this channel. I have enough games recorded and scheduled till December 15th or so this year. But on my twitch page (same name) in the about section there is a discord link (Trying to avoid bots by posting direct links on YT) to my own discord where I chat, play VGC and record these offline playthroughs in call and just figure out what to play next on stream or for CZcams. I may not have the largest community, but it's steady and I am very grateful for it. Also, I still love Game from SMRPG more than SMRPG itself. Even in the remake when I did a playthrough last December I had to hold off playing it as much as possible till the end in gear I would just be super addicted to it. So that hasn't changed since then as well. P:

If it's just monsters, just sailing and discovering areas you can find and fight in is the best way to fight monsters on land. There are quite a few areas that have that kind of encounter for them. As for the game being quiet? Seems my VOD is pretty close to my speaking volume, so I have no idea what you mean about that.

I always resorted to running in a circle and just blasting while locked on. Though I do love the machine gun in this fight as well.

@@Wilmington_Chronicles yeah, it's not very good even when upgraded fully. Back when I recorded this, I wanted to least show it off since I believe most people ignore it or don't know how to get it.

I always tend to spam spells, but this time around I wanted to have more dependence on the weapons than spells. Though I'll admit I am very under leveled as normal for myself in this playthrough. :x

It's not overly bad in the moment, but honestly after the Misuzu fight it feels really easy for dodging and feels like a nice breather.

@Shauny7188 Misuzu was tough and terrifying but Ken almost made me want to quit because it's like he just would not die and he kept blocking and interrupting my combos.

@@gr8gmr Riki's R+A attack on approach can hit him before he can launch an attack, it's not super damaging despite what it sounds like. But you can down + a stomp him for extra hits to make things easier next time you fight him. It's my go to safety strat if I can't fight well with Kunio.

I spent probably 2-3000 hours on this game. Definitely my favorite story of all time

Agreed, but I wasn't using joycons, just a pro controller. I do use the snes one for BOF runs since its hard to rewind time on that one.

Yes I have, though its pretty much the same between Japanese and English due to the text boxes being the same, Since we are measuring them and not the text, things are the same. Different text being filled in, skipped and progressed between the two doesn't matter in the end for speedrunning. The only major difference is the save prompt in the Japanese version doesn't pop up like it does in the English version of the game and is VERY slightly slower (few frames), but honestly, its not much difference on it. but from I saw from the old Japanese TAS we had, the amount of text boxes are the same as the English version, so other than small performance issues here or there battle wise, things are the same. The only differences which are known is the handicap for losing 5 times and reducing the enemies health is Japanese only. The games should be pretty much the same and really be only cosmetic changes. hope that answers your questions. (:

Thanks, yeah I tend to use buster 90% when I play MM games. Endless is no different. I tend to really value special weapons for just bosses since they are free HP refills if I can kill them quick enough. You are right about the utility of the weapons and what they do, but some are a pain to refill without things seeming slow and having to grind special weapon energy, as well this was done when I was bored and killing some time rather than trying to break it record. The wii version of the game I think has my true record but I can't recall its screens I cleared other than I played it super safe and refined like nearly every chance I had. I'll have to give this another go eventually son as well, it was a lot of fun to do.
