One of the best I've seen, but imperfect. Some of the times where a strike was dodged, it didn't look like it was actually aimed of the body, and there's some annoying saber clashing that doesn't have any actual threat.

As usual, fighters strive to hit anything other than the enemy. As a rule, all blows are aimed at the opponent's saber. All these endless rotations and jumps are aimed at one thing - to hit the enemy’s saber. Guys, do you know that in fencing one of the most effective and deadly attacks is the stabbing technique? And in battle, turning your back to the enemy is death. Especially when the enemy has such an outstanding reaction. In general, this is not a fight, but a complete prop for kids.

In under 6 min they manage to make better choreography fight scene then all the sequels combined. Step up your game disney.

The moves were definitely well choreographed, though Red looked pretty uncomfortable throughout. I don’t know if she was afraid of getting hit by her opponent’s saber or if those boots were just uncomfortable, but she just never got the footwork to look natural. It feels like the two of them just didn’t have enough time to work out the kinks of their choreography together before they were set to film, like they had to rush to meet a deadline. One the technical side, there were two shots that should definitely have been taken from another angle: there was a kick that was captured in a profile shot which made it obvious they were very much apart from each other, though the choreography would suggest the kick connected, then there was a saber jab that was clearly supposed to be a potentially lethal blow but was also caught in a profile shot. Aside from those two shots which should have been reshot or edited out everything else looked great. I loved the look of the costumes, and the designs of their saber hilts, and the locations were gorgeous. Oh, and I loved how they incorporated the landscape into their choreography, which so many people don’t bother doing, or don’t think to do. In conclusion: far from the worst SW fan film I’ve ever seen, but still not one of the best.

I find it ironic that the guy who wields the red lightsaber is more like a Jedi than the guy with the blue lightsabers.

amazing fight and choreography, one thing i will say though that's pretty interesting, its interesting how the Jedi is the one playing tricks and attempting to fight dirty and the Sith is patient and fights honourably.

They truly make it look like it is a LIGHT saber, weightless. Well done!

As much as I enjoy watching lightsaber fights, there are two things that are extremely common that really annoy me. In my wild younger days, my friends and I fought with real swords, going all out. We did this for years, only stopping after an especially intense battle, in which my friend almost lost an eye, from my blade, which gave him a scar above his eyelid, and I almost lost a finger, which was cut open, to the bone, by his blade. I tell you this so you know I’m not some armchair wannabe warrior who talks big, but has no experience. The first thing that always happens in these lightsaber fights is that both fighters spin around constantly, exposing their backs, and taking their eyes off of their opponent. That is so unbelievably stupid, that if they tried it in an actual fight, they would get stabbed. With a lightsaber, all that is needed to do significant damage, is to barely touch the opponent, which is really easy when they are spinning around like ballerinas on meth. That’s the first thing. The second, is to hold the lightsaber in your back hand, while extending your front hand towards the opponent, who can easily do severe damage to your hand, even with a normal blade. Against a lightsaber, losing your fingers, and probably the whole hand is almost assured, if the opponent wants it, and in a real fight to the death, they absolutely would. What I would like to see, is a lightsaber duet that uses practical western fencing techniques, like rapier fighting, as opposed to the primarily slashing styles they always use. As I already stated, a light touch with a lightsaber would do significant damage, and a thrust would be fatal, almost anywhere in the torso or higher. Like when Maul killed Qui gon. I know, in the crapstorm that Kennedy turned Star Wars into (Star Worse should be it’s new name), people are surviving these thrusts, but that’s idiotic, and ignores the lore entirely. It might not be as exciting to see rapier style fencing, but it would be much more like an actual lightsaber fight would be fought.

They copied some choreography from Ryan vs Brandon 2....LOL 2nd lightsaber surprise and grin from the blue blade wielder.

Great duel video, but, not dont take this wrong, BUT, the hands are held wrong, her hand holding, if her main hand is so high, it should have the second hand lower, for balance, the two bladed is just holing too close to the blades, it wouldnt be balanced good enough to spar with... just sayen, wanna get into it myself so i look at everything i can with a critical eye. Bad ass video though!

Interesting that the Jedi with the blue lightsaber uses the more flashy style with all the saber-twirls and so on while the Sith with the red 'saber is very no-nonsense in his style. One really expects the opposite. But still a darned cool video. :)
