so i have the nameless muffler delete on rn, but ill eventually prob get a downpipe which will make it louder. you saying the r400 is quieter? lol i think the muffler delete is already quiet as it is
The nubuck brown actually looks more like an olive green tint
So Marshall's sold me a fake because there is no timberland label in the inside
Before they add hybrid or electric to wrx or sti, let them die on this hill with knock, better than an electric.
Overrated, slow, and fragile. Subaru should honestly hang it up already. We have electric mustang crossovers now, agenda 30 is nearing, and thos would be the best time for them to opt out.
Should I trade my 19 wrx for a 19 sti? Or wait or?? Had it for 3 years 9k miles
I’ve been driving my 2019 daily for two and love it stock
I'm waiting for my STI order as I'm writing this and I've watched many videos over the past week. The pros that I trust don't recommend going over 350 HP on stock internals. Reliability is everything, especially with Subarus. You seem knowledgeable however I think you're putting too much wear and tear on your engine running at 380 on stock internals. It's all good but understand that playing with higher numbers without the proper preparation will decrease your reliability.
Congrats on your order! The newer models are handling power much better. I am still running strong just turned 50k miles. E85 and Motul every 3000 miles helps keep things going. The 2019+ models are handling 400-450 no problem.
@@CAD-ep7mz yeah let's keep q black box data log of driving habits and for 200+k. Won't get to 100, buy let's a at 200+. No one wants to? OK, guess confidence isn't on the table
Great video fellow can fanatic! Question, my buddy bought a 2017 sti. I drove it 20 miles and found it to be NOT a drivers car, throttle was laggy and clutch too rpm’s seems hard to match up for a smooth 1-2 gear shifts. Fast cars are not new to me, + I drive a 03 ep3 civic si and all have been more of a “drivers car”. Was I just to new in the sti? Would I need a 100 mile trip in that subi?
So I’m synopsis, I love the sti, but felt let down by the lack of drive ability.
Protune. If i were to do anything to a STI it would first be a protune. When i got my car back it literally felt like a totally different car. Because of emissions everything is held back a bit. Once you get in there and changes things around it really wakes the car up. Also, Equal Length Headers and E85 are big drivability mods.
How much do sale this car
Great info and 100 percent correct, I have the black premiums.
Here’s the thing I cannot figure out. Me being a STI owner, I’m assuming you put fully synthetic engine oil in your vehicle. This would be like the 10 or 11 maybe more channels I came across that say “oh I change my engine oil every 2-3 thousand mile” WHY?WHY?WHY? That is such a waste of time and more importantly engine oil that’s fully synthetic. You have to understand fully synthetic oil doesn’t breakdown as bad as does conventional oil does that why you can change 5 thousand miles or even a little over that amount. That’s just my opinion, to each his own
It can depend on how the car is driven in those intervals, or not driven. I run e85 all the time, when i ran 93 i changed oil closer to 3500-4K. It’s a good habit because i can make sure I’m not burning any oil, and the oil looks fresh. A majority of the issues that happen with the EJ engine revolves around oil starvation, or to much heat in the cylinders. It’s just another way to help get a few extra thousand miles out of a FBO stock engine STI!
@@CAD-ep7mz regardless of how it’s driven, the turbo uses that engine oil as well. When it’s low, you would add oil until your next oil change not change it every 2500 miles or even 3K miles because of how you drive it or if its low that’s just ridiculous to me. But like I said to each his own.
The sti engine NEEDS oil changed every 3k. End of story
OMG that's exhaust 🤣🤩 I'm watching this video on my tv and am slightly deafened by it
It is quite loud! Nothing like a good cold start on a winter morning!
Dope video bro thank you
I just got the black basics and they are really goood
Vana Vana the basics are so much more comfortable than the regulars in my opinion. They are lighter and when broken in are my favorite shoe/boot to wear!
CAD 2729 agreed! I love them already and only wore them around the house 😂, but wdym by broken in?? This is my first pair of boots btw

Sounds great, but your car will thank you greatly if you give it some time to warm up before reving it. Also make sure to prime the fuel pump for a few seconds before turning the ignition. This video is like a text book example of specifically what not to do to your EJ motor.
Corvus great advice! The car was fairly warmed up at the time because i just got back from shooting another video. These are also things i try to share with all other Subaru owners! Cheers and i Love your profile picture!
@@CAD-ep7mz Ah my bad, in the vid you said cold start so I didn't think it was already warm. and thanks it's a picture I took of my cat lmao. Cheers man the car sounds incredible
If you don't mind me asking how much is your monthly payments
Mike jones Total amount financed was 34,545 i did that over the course of 72 months and after interest they are $493 per month.
How much were you able to get off msrp?
how would you compare the tones? Like does the r400 sound like the traditional subie rumble and the nameless is a loud rumble?
Sam Smith the R400 is a lot more bass toned. Sounds really good. On a scale of 1-10 R400 - 6 good base tone loud at WOT Nameless (or anything without mufflers) 10/10 and is less bassy but all around a lot louder, currently i have the Tomei TI and it is equally as loud as the nameless
CAD 2729 I just switched my tomei for the awe track and it's WAY deeper
Is the r400 resonated or non resonated?
G Twice it is resonated. In my opinion a reaonatator does not make it quieter it just drowns out the drone and makes the tone better
Do you still have the car? How many miles? Have you had to replace the engine?
Reviewerguy1228 still have the car! Bought it in April with 6200 miles and now i have 23,000. No engine issues yet! Since the video i have gone E85 and about 350whp and 415tq
Do I just add them will they fit perfect?
I have the r400 too, can I adapt a nameless muffles delete on my r400?
WRX STI no, the nameless axel back will not connect with the invidia R00. You would need to buy the Cat Back exhaust
Installation is a snap with basic hand tools. Removal of the factory exhaust requires removing four bolts and four exhaust hanger bushings from the Q300 / R400 / N1 muffler. Each side of our axleback exhaust system is then hung from the factory exhaust hanger bushings and bolted to the Q300 / N1 / R400 Gemini midpipe. We provide upgraded nuts, bolts and replacement gaskets that are used when re-installing the upgraded exhaust, as well as a pair of three hole urethane exhaust hanger bushings. Hold the tips centered in the cutout in the bumper and tighten the nuts to ~20ft lb with hand tools.
I call the dark browns hershey chocolates like they call the light browns butters
Just followed you on here too!!
Why do some have tags and others dont??
Osvaldo Guzman they all originally had tags. I lost the ones to the tan pair. If you buy them in a store it’s common some people go around and steal the tags! Do you have a pair that you are questioning?
Nice job with the video- not a fan of Diablo but to each his own
Jack Emerson i was shocked to find it does not remove the brake dust like the griots when used alone. Still trying to find my go to brake product. Any recommendations?
The Chemical Guys Signature Wheel Cleaner is decent. I also ordered some P&S Brake Buster but haven't tried it yet. A lot of people also like Adams Wheel Cleaner too. Jescar just came out with one that looks promising
