Damn work always wrecks good playtime 😂. Don’t keep us all hanging to long Benno hahahaha 🍻
Work, that thing ya have to do to get cash to do the fun things, is done for the week. Planning a live will it run and beer for 8pm Friday 13th. Be there or be talked abt. Cheers Robert
@@BennosShed I wake up at one In the morning to go to work so I will be watching the live show later on unfortunately. Good luck with it Benno 👍🍻
@@robertaus8420 All good Robert, similar crazy hours to what I work. get up stupid early and finish stupid late. at least my week is dusted for now Cheers mate
Still plenty of decent parts on that 👍
Yep heaps of useable stuff still there.
Hopefully you can recoup some money and get some needed parts. I'm really good at taking things apart...... but the putting back together thing is a problem. hahaha !!
Hey Randy, yep i'm also great at pulling stuff apart, putting back together MMM not so much. Going to try and get that engine running and drink some beers in a live stream on friday night 8pm AEST GMT+10 so will be morning in in Canada i think. Hope to see ya there mate. Cheers
Good load of Parts there Benno buddy. Look forward to seeing trying to get it Running 👍
Ali going to attempt to get it running Friday Night AEST 8pm GMT+10. Your turn to drink beer in the AM LOL Cheers mate
@@BennosShed 😂😂😂😂
looking good such a good swap
How to jump start street 500 2020. Looks complicated after opening the seat cover..
I hate wiring it does my head in buddy. It takes a lot of hunting around i use them connection with a bit solder i find them good enough so nothing wrong with it. The loom looked a lot better at the end 👍
yeah for sure Ali, If I'm going to make a mistake that's where it will be
That’s why men invented beer Benno, after a bad run like that you just sit in front of the fridge till you pass out 🍻. On the brighter side it wasn’t a complete melt down 👍
G'day Robert. Fridge door was opened so much the beer went hot. Fixing that loom has sorted part of the problem but I suspect more damage from this Fugg up. Its a start though.
Hopefully you haven’t fried any circuit boards
@@robertaus8420 Hopes not. Testing is ongoing
That’s sucks mate.
No one to blame but me, should have known better.
Hey Mate, you are just so talented, I didn't know you could sing as well 😎
Talented ? HaHa. If there is a way to stuff a job up I'll find it so I guess that's a talent. Cheer mate
Nice day for boating 👍. Hopefully next time you get some keepers in the crab department 🍻
was A top day Robert. Yeah the pot looked a bit sad with no crabs in it
Looking good Benno
cheers Ali
Nice hat Benno 😎✌🏻
Nice N' Bright Bert

Hey Benno, just found your channel, been binging 😀. Re scammers, years ago I used to watch an internet site called “ 419 Eater “, I haven’t looked at it for years, but wow what some of the baiters did was insane. Trying to follow the 80 build, but gets a bit disjointed. All the more reason to sit on YT. Cheers
Cracker day on the water mate 👌
One of th best
Looked like a great day mate . We don’t have water koalas down here in South Australia 😂. I will steer clear of the crocs. , man that was big croc 😎, stay safe and don’t get eaten. Almost some dinner.
G'day Mr T. Was a top day, Water Koala is a rare but tasty catch😂. That croc was a monster. sadly had to settle for maccas that nite. Cheers mate

Hey Bert there is a good chance of that.
getting there mate . more patients than i have . well done .enjoying the build
Ha Ha. Glen, not to sure abt patients, might have to do a dummy spit Ep for patrion
Wow, very expensive for plastic 😳
Yep Toyota, aparently the last ones in the country. Cheaper to buy direct from Japan or UAE☹
I know what you mean about them electric connection the heat just kills them. Lack oil pressure seems to be issue i know when i did the Astra i had to replace the pressure sensor but it can drive you wild.🤙👏
G'day Ali. Yep the oil preasure is a concern, I was using an external test gauge that is confimed as working so am not thinking the sensor is the issue. Have recieved all the oil pump and relief valve replacement parts so ill put them in and see what happens.
@@BennosShed Am sure you will get it working bud 👍

You gotta love it when shit just doesn’t want to play the game right. Your getting there Benno it will all be worth it when your pulling smoke runs up the drive way 😂
Hi Robert. If there is a possibility that something is wrong it will be and repairing that just shows up something else. Par for the course on this steaming hot pile O' Poo. I see a very dim glow at the end of this tunnel of horrors.

Good work Benno, might be just me but the back ground music sorta made it hard to hear you talk.
Just talkning shyte as usual robert, mostly just mumbling to myself. What are you watching on mate? Phone/PC?
@@BennosShed iPhone Benno, I’m used to hearing shit I talk heaps of it 😂👍
It shouldn’t be too hard, if your the clunker who pulled it apart with the benefits of photos. It’s a real pain when restoring someone else’s rip tear bust.or you’ve left the job so long that you can’t remember her name situation. I just recently had to change the locking module Grover on the latching mechanism. If you need one of those, shop around ,eventually found one $20🇺🇸 and $25🇺🇸post, yeah so $67🇦🇺, beware there are x5 types one for each door and hatch.-dudes
Fella- Fank Tuck an Aussies done a video on this, Frigg’n yanks wank on way too much verbal diarrhoea, good to now know to crack that 17 first and shop air blow crap out of the way, just waiting for a new pump coming from QLD, as my EFI just blew for the first time ever, last week, it now pops every ten seconds on a 15@ or 2 seconds on a 7.5@, disconnected the pump and motor runs idle longer than 5 seconds on the 7.5@ so you can safely presume with me the pump or thereabouts is cactus, but I did realise the warning lamp low fuel came on a couple of days ago and was still on at full click. 1996 fzj80 , probably give the sender a hard examination or remove all together, got LPG, and to be honest only switch petrol when that’s evaporated or towing big up mountains. Fella, buy some alligator clips eBay, make yourself some mini jumper leads for future jobs, dead handy for all kinds of nifty checks, also thanks for the heads up, seeing how full of crap it was in the soup, now I won’t be so freaked out if I find the same, waiting for delivery, got rear left on a car ramp accumulating? Water into corner of tank, if any, I’m expecting a lot of shit fuel in it. Cheers
Nice one. I've been refreshing all the door and panel pieces / cards on a 90s Toyota camper van (I think there are nine on my van in total). Some were a bit sad but they all cleaned up fine and the foam had survived, though it's a bit old in places. I was impressed with your work on these and they will be amazing. Where I had degredation in the cards backing panels I used CA glue to re-strengthen and re-bond any damaged areas on the insides. THe cards took the glue up very well. Then, I varnished the backs, using loads of coats. I used a polyurathane marine varnish with the first couple of coats very thinned (maybe 50-75% thinners). This soaked deep into the fibres but not through to the visible sides. I then did a load more coats until the last ones wwere just thinned ~10 as normal. I think I maybe did 6-8 coats in total and had a bit of a production line over about a week, doing a coat each day. This has made the cards nice and stiff and basically wwaterproof. I wanted to keep them original if I could and these are now good, hopefully, for the next 30y. THe final job I need to do with them is to re-glue a bit of the vinal to the tops of the cards where it's come adrift from the metal trim places in some points. I think I'll use a contact adhesive for this, some spring clamps and thin pieces of wood to spread the load. Thanks for your vid. Keen to see how they come out!
It's a time consuming but odly satafying Job. You have sertainly put in the effort and gotten a great result on your cards. Glad you enjoyed the vid . Be sure to check out and comment on next one, I think you'll like the result. Cheers stco.
Oh yes. Well done. Thank the gods.
Yep decided to go with the 1fzfe seeing as I has been rebuilt n' all
Oh no! What a giant let down. Watched every vid since the start of the 80 and now you just doing an engine swap.
Well would have been a huge effort to fit that Ford Barra into the 80, not just a simple engine swap by any stretch of the imagination. But thats not what is happening Plenty more eps after this one so keep on watching Jax.
I've seen someone selling the bare door cards on ebay. "Australian door cards" in Wangaratta. $149. Cheap enough if you're time poor. Just remember to put the plastic sheet back in and seal it otherwise it will get water damaged again. Also another hot tip while you're in there: pull out the window rubbers, scrub them clean and give them a squirt of silicone spray or sellys ez-glide. Service your elec motors and regs. You'll have fast glass.
G'day AaronHogan. Yes have seen "Auastralian Door Cards", they do look pretty good and if I wasn't such a DIY NERD I probably would have used them. Thanks for the abvice on the window rubbers, they are pretty well kaput, new window inner and outer seals have arrive and will be installed in the next vid, new door seal plastic sheet will be replaced as is nonexistant or damaged beyond repair on this 80. Thanks for your comment, it is much appreciated. Cheers
@@BennosShed looking forward to seeing how you approach the re-trim. I'm planning to re-do mine at some point and will aim for the Sahara/VX/USA market style. Its just a foam backing with the leather(ette) applied in a wrinkle effect. I have also been looking at the Alpine audio speaker pods which are available for the 79 series, although they are quite expensive.
@@aaronhogan2371 That should look good. I'm thinking chesterfield couch"ish look LOL. but not 100% on that. As for the front speakers am looking at something that will pack a punch that will match the audio that is going into it. Prob have to 3D print a custom pod to make them fit but that is a low priority atm.
