Ego problem is when the nafs is too big and the heart is weak. The main suggestion is to limit food intake. We are to eat enough to keep our backs straight!

Anger, knowledge, appetites need to be in check for our success.

Constraining the appetites leads to purity, empowering them leads to corruption.

Actions purify or harm (corrupt) the heart.

MashaAllah may Allah keep this brother steadfast. The grownups need to leave him alone so he can have some sort of normal childhood. Even tho he is wise and wellspoken beyond his age, the community should refrain from using him as a posster child. There is no doubt he will take the right steps inshaAllah and may Allah make his journey easy. It is not rainbows and roses for convert muslims who leave their faith, many times family, and everything that is familiar and then absolutely have no one on Eid etc. Hope and pray for the best for this child.

Faulty logic. Yes, Allah (S.W.T.) gives power to whomever HE pleases. Everything happens by HIS Will. Does that, then entail, that the murd*r*r is not despised for his actions? The US is evil by its own standards. That concerns us and our perspective on the US's morality. Everything happens by the Will of Allah (S.W.T.) and so we accept everything. Evil is still evil...and relativity is not relevant. If China, in the US's position, "might" be as evil, or more or less, that is not yet determined. What is, in fact, conclusive is the US's hypocrisy and plain ol' greed based crim*s against humanity...against our brothers and sisters.
