I mean we european are getting fat. I wouldn't mind food prices increasing some if we could build more houses. No need for a farm if you can just build that somewhere else and import the food. Then build some houses or buildings companies that make actual money do work in. Cows don't make the world go around they're replacable. Money does.

I think you could have expanded on his "chain of stations" along creeks, and dropped the useless stuff about snakes, etc. Kidman thought about a chain of stations for years as he travelled all over the country, before he gradually bought up chains of stations to the Georgina, Diamantina and Cooper rivers. It's a key aspect of his success and how he managed to survive drought.

They were spread out but interestingly the majority are in one water catchment the only one that doesnt run to the sea. Which is the lake eyre basin. Its very dry. So it wasnt diversified that much only 2 catchments... There appears to be more to the strategy. Maybe he was buying up this drought land and using artisian water or better grazing management I dont know. Maybe Anna Creek is just south.

Good analysis. I'm a citizen of The Netherlands and have seen this coming for decades. Since the 1950's upscaling and efficiency and max produce is the word. Only since the 1970's science asked: what about the land quality - so sustainability? Our governments nearly always follow the mantra of neoliberalism ('free market') and certainly never spend money to actually solve problems. So here we are. The only realistic solution to the problems is, to amend the free-market ideology, and instigate a system of fair pricing of agricultural products. Farmers are mostly willing to adapt (once again!) and go sustainable, but only if their investing in the model is going to be profitable. Our governments for decades have helped big corporations to evade their taxes - nationally and internationally. So why not create a system of shielding the farmers from world market prices that were the result of unsustainable farming and market controlling policies? Because the EU does a split: be sustainable AND upscale staple food production, in fear of US- and BRICS monopolies. I would say: have balls and make a decision. Support regional markets so well that more farmers will go eco and use more land sustainably. Our produce deficit can be suppleted by imports paid for by revenue from our EU core business - industry and services. And ENFORCE those new regulations for AT LEAST a few generations of farmers.

Iv worked country that is along the way that Kidman drove his stock. Iv found a few horse shoes in the paddocks and a few other pieces that they left behind. People who don’t understand the vast size of Australia compared to other countries, will not understand how far he moved his stock. Nowadays, if a truck was to move stock the same distances, they’d die because of the fast climate change, that’s how far he moved. A comparison how far he moved would be Canada to Mexico or England to Turkey

Leases held in perpetuity means forever i thought? It could be held by the landholder to decide what they wanted to do with it renew lease, sell it, cut it into smaller lots, lease to others or what ever they wanted to do within the guidrlines i suppose. In Queensland The Land Act 1962 covered land acquisition in that state and included leases like the Grazing Homestead Freehold Lease; GHFL, the Deed in Grant in Trust (DOGIT) areas covered Aboriginal Reserve areas that controlled the lives of Aboriginal people living in those areas for example a permit was required to visit these areas at one time.. I am not a legal a person or an expert on anything but recall some of these from my own memories and of work situation. Perhaps further information could be found in the current Land Act and amendments if there is one anymore?

CO2 is a trace gas in the earth's atmosphere, people. It doesn't affect climate. The entire premise of the so-called 'green deal' is a lie. It was established through consistent mass media hypnotism so that they can control the population and everything they eat and, ultimately, do. The global warming scare is not substantiated by real data, just manipulated computer modeling. Pollution is, indeed, a problem. That, we can and should address, but this has nothing to do with the globalist takeover agenda, in the end.
