advanced Tutorial for Blender and 3d animation
Santos de Cartier Blender
Reworking on project from scratch is a good way to wake up old workflow and rusty skills and to improve them.
Initially i was willing to work on a brushed steel shader, and as i was building the model i felt that more should be done.
This iconic Santos de Cartier is made with blender and rendered in cyclesrender
Sometimes only one big light is enough to reveal the entire scene, sometimes it’s is more complex and more lights are needed, I forced myself to work with only one pass and a very subtle compositing ( grading and camera effects, no patch )
This project is also a way to let shaders and pieces react between themself and to let them create little accidents.

Hey man, thanks for sharing this! was starting on a ldv scene myself when I saw this and decided to give it a go, love how you have different setups for different scales. I do question if this is purely for show because when I started to look more closely, not only there's a lot of depth of field on all the cameras, the color chart is absolutely washed out (not matching any of the actual colors when plugged trough emission) and plenty of chromatic aberration and further blurs on the compositing side erasing any sort of accuracy a scene like this is primarily used for. I still appreciate all the effort put into this but wanted to double check if I missed something because Ive seen people rendering with this believing (like me at the start) that this is an accurate lookdev scene. In any case, thanks! keep it up!
