It's hard to say. I bought one for around 200 dollars in the country side of Puerto Rico and I consider myself lucky, I've seen them go for around 1,000 dollars and depending from where you get the weber carburetors go from 600 to 800 dollars (bike carbs are way cheaper though, and offer the same performance), and you can expect around 115bhp on stock internals.

This reminds me of the dark ages of the mid to late 1970s when power was extremely hard to come by. I had a little Datsun truck with a 2 liter 4 cylinder. As a kid of 17 I spent a summer removing all the crap that sucked power out of the engine and replaced the tiny 2 barrel carb with twin Weber 45s like the ones in the video along with a ton of other stuff. It was probably a good thing that I didn't know how in depth all of what I did was actually going to be. If I had known I doubt I would have started at all. Looking back I'm very glad that I did it though. . After I was done I was able to eat Porsche 914s and 924s, Ford Capris and Mazda RX-7s for lunch all day, every day.

everybody going crazy over an engine on top of blocks. not everybody has the ways to get engine stands, you have to test the engine after putting it in the car, turn it on in some woods put some water and cranc it on some minuts to see if it works cool. it smells a lot to people not working in his own car having tight budgets
