Except, the shows are clearly pointing out that they're both part of the same entity. Fox is a corporate behemoth with low principles, and the fox network is infamous for twisting narratives under the guise of "entertainment" or opinion pieces that are allowed to slant the truth or give a false impression. Not a lot of news networks can say that they don't promote certain headlines over the other, but Fox is right at the bottom of the barrel for reliable news stations.
Missed out the bit where Sideshow Bob's in prison complaining about the poor quality of the TV programming and then 'fellow con' Rupert Murdoch indignantly protests 'Hey! I own 40% of that network!'.

I love jokes like these. While other news outlets like MSNBC and CNN have problems with being biased, FOX is on a whole other level. It’s where journalism goes to die.

Honestly, I wish some of the other channels, such as Netflix or Amazon Prime, would have the same sense of humor. For some reason, they just don’t. Even Disney has some limits on that.

The other thing people forget is that these shows got the licence to kick the shit out of Fox because they were literally their only hits at the time. Fox had nothing but The Sampsons and Married with Children back in the day, and even now it’s mostly propped up by Family Guy. It was also constantly losing money until the 2000s, so the gags about the Fox satellite being held up by balloons and Homer screaming at investing in Fox were quite close to the bone!
