Mario Kart 7 Mod Demo: SnapCube Fandub's Dr. Eggman!
All the way back when I noticed that Cats4Life included Dr. Eggman in his now-cancelled modpack Ultra Kart 7, I thought that it would be hilarious to put the Alfred Coleman's Dr Eggman voice from Snapcube's Sonic fandubs as the voice for this character. So, this April, I did. The source audio for this mod comes from Snapcube's Sonic Adventure 2 (Dark Story + Final Story), Sonic Adventure 2 (Hero Story), and The First Night (SA2) BTDubs. Once again, sorry for the poor video quality; CTGP-7's built in NTR is worse then NTR-HR by a mile.

I played for about an hour before I got disconnected. After I couldn't play MK7 anymore, I decided to try some of my other games that used Nintendo Network and two (Mario Maker 3DS and Mario Vs. In the middle of a race, the servers of Nintendo Network close (4/8/24)

I played for an hour or so before shutdown. We managed to start another race after the official shutdown (7:00 pm CDT), but got killed in the middle of it. I said something like "Op, there it goes!" Sorry for the poor quality here; I don't have a capture card so I had to use NTR-HR (I didn't render my bottom screen for a better framerate). o7 for MK7

L1:0:44.514 L2:0:47.008 L3:0:45.050 The only decent lap was L1. L2 setup was horrid and L3 wasn't that good either. I can definitely get this down. I don't know why the checksum menu didn't come up btw, I've had an issue where the CTPRF menu doesn't pop up at all, but I don't think that's it. I think this run should still be valid, though. This is something I found independently the day after 1.4 was released, but it seems like other people found it too. This isn't put into it's own separate glitch section on the CT leaderboards. A thing a found a while back but just never reported. I'm deciding to report it now because a. it's time and b. Sort of. CTGP-7 allows loading .bcwavs by themselves to allow for voices if the .bcwavs are too large to fit in the .bcsar. That's what I am doing for voices here.

@@coolnhotmodding yeah, not only is the video based on the Nintendo WFC one by gumgum99, but in that video, the person playing got one of those lightning clouds just as the server went kaput. Also, I love how you made the title a reference to the original. R.I.P Nintendo WFC 2005-2014 R.I.P Nintendo Network 2012-2024 And what's worse is that the Switch is next... Edit: Wanted to add another thing: I understand the poor quality, since the 3DS's top screen resolution is... is.... Ugh, hold on... *opens up google tab and starts typing* 800 x 240 (which is 400 x 240 per eye), so there is no way to improve the quality without emulating it with a good PC. Did you know? The Nintendo DS's screen resolution can't even fit a Sega Genesis game with a 1:1 pixel ratio. Sorry if I'm yapping too much, lol 😅

I was playing Daisy Cruiser where at times you could start to tell that they were shutting down servers, the server I was in had slowed and sped up quickly and eventually the server went kaput. :(

@@willosfloppydrive so? that doesnt change anything. you do realise how much of a miracle it is that any of this works at all? sure nothing might have happend for hours, years even, but what if it say.. caught fire instead? think about it. it could catch fire at any moment. anything could. and yet here we are. still alive. but that doesnt mean it cant happen. no server is actually used for gameplay, its purely communication between the systems (peer to peer). obviously it still cares that it maintains a connection to the servers, report some info about the match, but thats about it. someone even made a mod for it to not care and they've got the livestream here on youtube, two bots still running againt eachother.
@@Chipmunkboy the servers started to slow at 7:00 (right on time), like the servers were shutting down (because they were) and literally two minutes later the servers shut down.
@@willosfloppydrive read my comment. servers werent shut down at 7, but connections to the servers were rejected. they gave you the two minutes to play another race because they were aware the game will disconnect. the game is peer to peer.

Ehh I was part of both because I was born in ‘07. I still play my 3DS to this day and just got off of it to scroll CZcams. I hate that companies like Nintendo are sunsetting online servers for older devices. It makes you really appreciate groups like Pretendo.

That's super odd! Keep in mind Nintendo Zone is no longer a thing and you can't connect to it anyways. This video is just a demo of how you can still access the app.

It doesn't, it's just a demo of mk7's weird physics. There's an invisible wall there, plus, if you'd somehow manage to get past that wall you'd skip checkpoints.

@@Duqkey yeah, arm9 errors indicate sd corruption. Basically, just copy the contents of your sd to your desktop, format your sd, and copy the contents back, and it should be better, but eventually you should just put the contents onto a new sd so it doesn’t corrupt again
