I think they haven't changed the soldier movement that much since the BF4 days, so it always been like a marathon, especially on the big maps. 😅

When they revealed the game back in 2018, they said that the main focus will be the unheard and less known battles of WWII, that's why we didn't get any of the most iconic classic battles of the war. Iwo Jima is the closest we can get and feel to a Normandy map. It's understandable that they wanted to make something different that no one has done before in a WWII game, but could have been even better if they included the classic maps as well. 🙂👍

I don't think you will find any servers if you want to play with console players only, it has been like that from a very long time. You have to turn crossplay on and play with everyone. The game is still active at least in the evenings and weekends in EU. 🙂👍

Thank you! That weapon and its shotgun underbarrel (masterkey) is way too overpowered at least in CQC and they should nerf it and throw away the key. 😅

So far none of the Battlefield games I've tested used more than 12 - 13GB of vRAM in 4K Resolution Ultra Graphics settings so I think 16GB should be enough for now, unless you play games that require more vRAM. The next gen graphic cards (RTX 5080) will probably have 20GB of faster GDDR7 vRAM offering higher speeds. So if you are planning to play on a 4K 240Hz, Ultrawide or higher resolution, you might want to uprade the GPU. 🙂👍

The name of the sniper rifle is XCE BAR, which came with Season 4 or 5 if I'm not mistaken. You might not have it unlocked if you don't have the battle pass or you have to complete the assignments required to unlock the weapon. 🙂👍

It's definitely not historically accurate, but I try to focus on the gameplay, immersion, soundtrack, sound effects, scenery and that's what makes the Battlefield games fun and satisfying for me. 🙂👍

Yeah, everyone tries to spend their points at the end of the round and you can't call in more than 1 flying bomb at the same time, but it was a close call at the end. If you look closely you can see the enemy flying bomb hitting the flag on the left few seconds after the round ended.😅

I assume you meant RTX 4070 Ti Super which has 16GB of vRAM not the RTX 4070 Super with 12GB. If you play in 4K resolution with maximum graphics + ray tracing and DLSS off, the RTX 4070 Ti Super performance is aprox. 15-18% worse than the RTX 4080 Super. So in Battlefield V, it should be around 15-20 FPS difference but still above 60 FPS. I recommend using DLSS if the games you play supports it. 🙂👍

Yes! Especially the Pacific maps are something else. EA/DICE implemented the Easy Anti-Cheat system in Battlefield V few months ago and I didn't see any cheaters, or maybe I just got lucky. Yeah😁, some cheaters use MMGs and HS you across the map... they don't even want to hide it.😅

Yeah, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 was my first Battlefield game from the franchise and honestly I still think it's the best one. 👍

I don't usually monitor the performance of the SSD while playing but I just did one test in Battlefield 2042 and the "Write speed" stays at 0 MB/s, while the "Read speed" averages 4-5 MB/s. The average temperature is 45 °C, the maximum temperature is 55 °C, the ambient temperature was 20 °C during the test. I'm using a Samsung 1TB 990 PRO NVMe M.2 SSD with a heatsink. 👍

Are you sure the high data write is caused by Battlefield 2042 and not some other background Windows process? You can check that in the Task Manager. I'm not very sure but some players have issues with cache build up while playing so they have to delete the cache every once in a while, located in your Documents folder, but by doing that you may also reset your in game settings. Also what's your system RAM? If your system RAM is low and fills up very quickly it may start using the SSD and writes data on it. 🙂

Yes, it's probably the game. Battlefield 2042 is famous with its performance issues since launch, even after every new update. Some players have cache build up issues which leads to bad in game performance - stutters, low FPS and lag. If you have stable FPS, this shouldn't be the case for you.

I'm currently using LG 27GR93U-B which is a 27” 4K 144Hz LED monitor. I'm still waiting for a good OLED monitor on the market in the range of 27” - 32" but LG C3 would be a great choice as well, even though the smallest size is 42" if I'm not mistaken. 👍

Press and hold the middle mouse button (scroll wheel), which is the default keybind and the one I use if you play on PC. If you want to change the keybind (on PC), go to --> Options --> Mouse & Keyboard --> Vehicles --> Edit Key Bindings --> Pilot --> Movement --> View Rear Camera 👍

With 3070 at 1920x1080 you should have decent framerate on higher graphics settings with DLSS set to Quality for better visuals. I'm not sure which DLSS version Battlefield 2042 supports for the RTX 3000 series cards but still it will help you a lot. 👍

Yes, that's true. Personally for me, those graphics settings with that resolution due to the mass pixelation, it is way harder to spot the enemies. But yeah, the reaction time and input lag are so low that you could benefit from that if you are the goat. 😉👍

Yes, ray tracing is ON, even though you can't really see it on this map apart from some global illumination lighting. DLSS is also ON, set to the "Performance" setting.

It's a 64 players map if you play on the official conquest servers (like in the video). You can make a custom server through Portal with 128 players. 🙂
