New York State of Mind For What it's Worth Time in a Bottle... I know all these versions better than the originals. It was exciting as a kid to hear the originals years after I'd been singing along to these... (As a kid, I used to think Time in a Bottle was about time travel...."you're the one I want to go through time with"... That gave me the idea for a time travel story in elementary school about a scientist who took his nephew along through time with him... I think the Muppet Show skit of the scientist gave me this idea.... "Heeeey, the frog is not around...." I always think New York State of Mind needs this at the beginning.....Billy Joel should add it...haha...

Had this as a kid when it came out.. not listened to it in full now for about 45yr! Sam the Eagle singing Willow Tit Willow was always my fave.

I love this video and this book. I never had it, though. My grandpa actually grew up off of song of the south.

Fave. I have a couple Song of the South soundtrack type LPs and the LP with the storybook - but never got this one :( Thanks for the post - classic and nothing wrong with this wonderful story. Not a single racist bone in this - AT ALL - this is art and a nice story and wonderfully executed. Classic as it gets - a huge part of my childhood memories.

Holy shit. Millennial born in ‘93 and this brought me back. Before my mom graduated nursing school, we had laserdisc (which I had Pooh on!) and record players before upgrading to VHS and eventually DVD. My dad was especially fond of records and would often thrift and garage sale hunt. This was one of those lucky thrifts. Eventually years later we became WDW passholders and Splash Mountain was my favorite. Thanks for this!

Thank you for posting this. I know this record by heart when I was a kid and I had such a great time listening to it again. At the same time it is bittersweet because Disney is getting rid of this attraction as well.
