Jim Davis is perhaps the richest man to never offend or hurt anyone on his way to the top. He never buried the contributions of others like Disney. He never stole anyone else's work like Gates or Jobs. And he never committed any human rights violations to save a buck like (insert company here)... that we know of. The man made his fat cat, got full control of him, and then cashed out to Paramount when he felt there was no more mountains to conquer. A real stand-up guy, who I have never seen actually standing until today.

This is among the reasons I don't watch the Oscars. They are not relevant to me and none of their processes make any sense

I don't really think it was that weird. Not as weird as when Will Smith walked on stage, and slapped Chris Rock in the face. Or when they announced La La Land as best movie. Only to say it was wrong. Or when John Travolta called Indina Menzel, Adele Dazeem. Or when they announced Kevin Hart as the host, and then abruptly fired him, and the begged him to come back, but he refused, and no other celebrity wanted to host the show in fears of them being cancelled. The Oscars nominating only white people, being called out for it with oscars so white, and then doing the same exact thing next year, and then the year after deciding to go woke, and add more diverse members of the academy. And lets not talk about the disaster of the James Franco and Anne Hathaway hosting gig. And those are just the things that are off the top of my head over the past decade. There have been other crazy things over the past 100 years.

Normal people don't care about the oscars. We don't win awards for doing our job.

Its always so cute to me how we just treat the muppets as real people rather than just puppets.

I don’t see a lot of info on fictional characters being nominated for awards to begin with, then adding on the fictional character being played by an actor of the opposite gender? Elliot page was nominated for a best actress award but that wasn’t “fictional” So many questions.

Awesome video! Didn't know a lot of this so definitely pretty informative. On a side note Gonzo is an alien, I know that was probably a joke about not knowing but yah just in case you actually didn't know it was shown in Muppets in space that he's an alien. Just a little fun fact I remember from growing up with that movie and watching it all the time as a kid lol.

I watched the 2011 Muppets for the first time the other day and I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. I even cried at the end lol I’ve never been a big fan of sequels that split up the main cast, but the majority of the movie makes up for that minor point. I particularly liked the songs, and even though nothing will ever measure up to the original Muppet Movie score I still listened to 2011 the soundtrack several times. In conclusion, I [freaking] hate the oscars and everyone who is in charge of them.

Making it even weirder... Brett MacKenzie forgot to thank Jason Segel in his acceptance speech and the camera was holding on Segel for an uncomfortably long time (clearly waiting for him to be thanked).
