Battle of The Badasses: Robbie Sims vs Iran Barkley
two TRUE warriors!!
Chulalo should have fared better than that. A split decision at least in favor of Chivalo. But Patterson was the champion.
I loved watching Bramble take apart the “all American boy” Ray Mancini. Bramble wasn’t even that good, and he beat up “boom boom” twice! AARON PRYOR would have KILLED Mancini..Bob Arum (Ray’s promoter) knew that, which is why he never made that fight!
Right on, this fight showed just what a protected "TV Hero" fighter Mancini was. His management knew his shortcomings and had him fighting fringe contenders suited to his swarming style, but they made a big mistake by taking Bramble lightly.
@@Thermopylae Exactly!
Moore got a.long count on the third knockdown
Chapo Rosario went on to smash Bramble
Great boxing 101
That was a classic fight between two devastating punchers!! Mcllelan was an underrated boxers with real good skills, Jackson a great puncher with a crystal chin…
Julián Jackson was a devastated puncher , however, had a glass chin. Reminds me of another great boxer Tommy Hearn 👊🏻👊🏻
Dundee did the right thing. Ellis could gp on to fight another day.
Mike Tyson talking about Ali is so deep
Larry had the best jab in boxing. A great and underrated champion.
Not interesting...the golden era of boxing coming to a close
@2:40 Ali says, "I couldn't woop Ken Norten!" Then he tried to cover his truth/slip of tongue lol. He then said immediately, "I had trouble with him."
I rember this fight, & I also remember that Bramble got away with Blood-Doping just before the fight. Yeah, he CHEATED. Mancini said in a later interview that he couldn't knock Bramble out with a Baseball Bat.
had him on queer street :D
I remember watching this fight, and pulling for Boom Boom, but Livinston Bramble is one of the all time rugged brawlers, along with Hagler, & Nigel Benn
Bramble is now way a Hagler
@Bruins-vq5ey I'm not comparing the 3 to each other, but they were all brawlers, and I should probably add Mike Maccalum to the group
@@PopO51968 mike McCallum was anything but a "brawler".. And neither was Hagler.. And Bramble wasn't all time anything
@Bruins-vq5ey Go watch McCallum vs James Toney Lol, and besides, THIS IS MY OPINION!!!!, it may not be yours. You're saying; Mike """"THE BODY SNATCHER""" McCallum was not a brawler??????? Hagler was not a brawler????? Go watch Hagler vs John "The Beast" Mugabi or vs Thomas "The Hitman" Hearnes or vs Alan Minter, 🤔 😀 😄 😉
@@PopO51968 your opinion is wrong.. Please study boxing before entering discussions
Foreman was throwing haymakers
I photographed this fight in Reno Nevada, very good competitive fight
You saw a different fight cuz this was in Buffalo NY
@@Bruins-vq5ey Yes you are correct the fight I shot was May of 1985 very close fight
giving up was the perfect thing to do
Norton was a great boxer but had no biz getting in the ring with foreman.
Why not? He was a top ranked opponent
Patterson was a small heavyweight. Nowadays he would be considered a lightheavy weight or a middleweight.
Yeah no he wouldn’t he would be a cruiser weight, he was a light heavyweight as a pro before moving up to heavyweight and winning the title.
Smokin' Joe...
It would be better if the promoter could spell "rounder" on the poster..
I've always said the only thing prettier than a Frazier Left Hook was Holmes jab. Essentially, this won him the fight.
The big left hook was irrelevant in the Tyson fight.
@@angeloiodice9304 He was years older, hadn't fought in over two years and took the fight on short notice. He had a 6-week training camp. Those things were the reason he didn't give a better showing.
@@emirramos990 Agreed, totally. He just couldn’t resist the King money opportunity, grabbing the quick notice fight with a lousy six weeks to prepare. But, even at his very peak, with his stinging jab, and footwork, and ring intelligence, and all his other assets that made him a great boxer, he would never come close to surviving the relentless onslaught of young Mike Tyson constantly closing the distance. Michael Spinks had the perfect game plan against Larry, and he was no Tyson by any stretch of the imagination. Larry had those magnificent long strong arms, and those guns kept you away, and they were known to sting, but not knock really floor a good heavyweight. But, if you didn’t allow him to take full advantage of his best asset, he became disrupted. Taking nothing away from Larry. Hey, he learned much from the Great Muhammad Ali. But, Tyson, for that short scintillating burst of time, in the 80’s was an absolute phenomenon, a shooting star. Unfortunately, there was extremely early self-destruction.
That was set up by a body shot
MERCI
Thomas Tate did good.
I don't feel sorry for Green.
No one is better than iron Micky ❤❤❤❤
I've always believed that Patterson was robbed against Jimmy Ellis. He should have been a three-time heavyweight champion. Frazier would have hurt him, though, so I guess it's just as well the decision went to Ellis.
I think that would’ve been such a cool matchup though, would’ve loved to see the early round brawls.
He’s still a lil hurt kid
Just like you?
Nah they’re good now
His dad was very hard on him growing up. those were just lingering issues that needed to to be solved & they did!!
I am shocked George is still alive. Has anyone interviewed him lately?
He's alive but not doing so good anymore,. He won this damn fight.. Paterson got a Hometown decision
Dude was never knocked down in 93 fights, including Ali, Frazier, Forman and Patterson. How is that possible? What an absolute beast, combined with great skills. Should get much more recognition.
@@clinicaltranscription1190 hi, and thanks
stealing an entire video is quite impressive
Not even editing the part where the actual owner of it is mentioned..
A shavers sólo le faltó la estatura necesaria para ser el monarca de la división pesada.
Shavers admitted he wasn't good because he relied to much on power and he got tired by round 5. Has absolutely NOTHING to do with height!!!
Con mayor estatura , él hubiese aumentado su poder porque habría recibido menos golpes y su estatura hubiera tenido mucho que ver, por supuesto, sin discusión!!!
He was out cold after the first of the three punches.
04:51....big hammer
He gives Credut Jesus Christ and guidance
Julian and Terry would have cooked canelo, Crawford , and all today's supposed great fighters over hyped.
This SOFT GENERATION OF BOXERS WOULD BE ROASTED LIKE "T-BONE 🥩S!!!!!"
"(Full HD Highlights)" LOL
Wow, Holmes was Robbed.
Foraman did warm-up exercises in vain and finished the job with 2 punches.
Rocky Marciano vs Jersey Joe Walcott
Ingat, Holmes dan Ali adalah petinju tahan pukul dan pemilik rahang terkuat. Itu di akui shavers
Damn that jab.
Great fight!!!!
Great fight, terrible announcers.
What made them terrible?
one of the best JAB against hardest PUNCH of all times.
Great fight from the golden years of heavyweight boxing. I remember watching the full fight at the time and having Holmes winning by 2 rounds by my scoring. Either fighter would have wiped the floor with todays mediocre heavyweights. 👊👊
Draw
Holmes won on speed and skill alone!!!
