Which car park did you set off from please
Did this a few days ago, very very windy :)
Awesome video mate 🌿🤗
Great video, always love the music choices and the drone footage, I've not done any real running, injured my right achilles tendon, rested totally for 2 weeks which nearly drove me insane, now walking but not far or fast.
Brilliant video 👍
Another great video which brings back happy memories for this Yank of my time living in GB and hiking around the country. The videos look so effortless but I know they are a lot of work to produce. Thanks!
Nice video again Alex 👌That route up and down from Grindslow to the perimeter footpath is a tough little one and more of a slide than a walk when its wet coming down but i like that too . Did you not find that pitch a bit on the slopey side ? I have always dismissed that one even though the views are fantastic because its not what i would call ideal but that might just be me getting on a bit 😉
Was it a lanshan on Grindslow Alex?
I’m not sure to be honest, didn’t get close enough to see.
@@alexcripps.outdoors I think it was me, lovely pitch up there on a beautiful day. Wish you had popped over to say hello, I was there again yesterday going up Grindsbrook and thinking about the video when you told me there was an easier path on the right in the comments!
What a great video, thanks very much for sharing. 👍🏻
I was there two weeks ago. Went straight up from Edale to Ringing Roger and then headed east, mainly to get away from airplane noises lol. Am in love with the place. Good video as always Alex!
Wonderful video as always mate, I was there only a few days ago and I agree there’s nothing better for clearing the head than being there. Thank you for sharing
Good spot that, had a great first XMid camp there back in April and a brief but stunning sunrise!
Your content is always so atmospheric and soothing! Love it, you are great artist man!
Super video Alex! As another has said, the drone shots were awesome! Must get up there again soon now that nature has ‘exploded’ with all the greenery etc. I second the recommend about the Penny Pot cafe, it is a favourite of mine. Just a quick question, if you can answer. What shoes did you have on to climb the clough? I always seem to use my heavy boots, but would like to use something lighter but up to the job. Thanks for all your videos. Even when I have not been out for a bit, just watching where you go does me good.
Me and my mate saw u during that walk was lovely to meet you.
Love the walk … jealous
Great to see you back in the glorious Peak District, especially on Kinder. You are looking very well! I loved those drone shots, such a beautiful place and it was very cool to see different angles of Grindsbrook. It reminded me how steep the final section is, although I still prefer the nice little scramble over various waterfalls surround by those massive rock walls on the right hand fork near the top (at least when the flow of water is low or zilch 😁). It’s been a busy day at work, in a tiring heatwave of nearly 30C and your video has really helped me to relax and let go of the stress. Only 4 weeks to go and I’m back up in Hayfield. Thank you 👍
What a beautiful and peaceful video, thank you! I'm going on a walking holiday on Friday and this got me right in the mood. What are the rules regarding wild camping in England?
lovely video, I used to walk around Kinder Scout many times in the 1970's with my dad, happy memories. It is still a beautiful, awesome place.
Have you done the Lyke wake walk in North Yorkshire? Great challenge 😀
No I haven’t, it’s funny you say that because I was just looking at that route the other day! Looks really good and definitely going to attempt it one day. Cheers 😊
Great video. Hopefully doing this route first week of July. Staying in the area for 3 days and going to try and tackle win hill (which I’ve done before) kinder scout, mam tor and bamford edge Great video as I like a good research into routes before I tackle them
This Yank is enjoying your videos from the comfort of my easy char. I lived in England back in the day (way back in the day) and this brings back happy memories of hiking in the Lakes. Many thanks for videos well done!!!
great video, choice of music and editing. just one recommendation could you show us a map of your route before the route so that anyone lucky enough to visit the area could follow the same route. thanks. (new subscriber)
Thanks for taking the time to explain the hazards and inform on Mountain leaders. Too many videos avoid the important stuff. Great vid fella.
Great video
Such an inspiring video - was the path easy to find with signs? I am a regulary at Coed-y-brenen and really want to climb Cadir!! So Impressive!!
Great vids Alex! Would you consider dropping a link to the run from your strava? I’ve seen a few of your runs on your channel I’d like to check out and nab the route from your strava. Just a thought, keep up the great work.
Thank you so much! That’s a really good idea and definitely something I’m going to add into the video descriptions. I’ll try add a link to my strava on this video. Cheers 😊
cool video. most people don't show the path they took to get to the summit from the edge. some people have gone from kinder low which is sometimes a good way if not too wet.
Awfy Braw, one of my favourite days on the hills 👍
Thank you! 😊
Fabulous as always well done both ,
Thank you Darren! 😊
Thanks for the nice tour Alex :)
Another cracking good video Alex - great watch - BTW Gaelic pronunciations easily available on line these days - always interesting for an English speaker!
Thank you so much! Yes I usually manage to find the pronunciation but sometimes struggle to find anything. I believe there’s a book that has all the correct pronunciations in, definitely going on the Christmas list 😂 Cheers Jim 😊
Brilliant walk/run , super weather and don’t worry no one can pronounce those Scottish names 😂😂
Thank you! I need a book that has all the pronunciations in 😂
Alex, love your videos, inspired us up Kinder Scout last week. Great work!
Thank you so much! Awesome to hear you got out on Kinder, can’t beat a day out on Kinder Scout 😊
Beautiful! That ridge line looked stunning! I think we can blame Hev for your very un rest like east day! 🤣🤣 Absolutely belting it up that mountain as per normal. Seriously, I want whatever she's having, it's awesome! 👌🏻
Thank you! Haha Hev definitely sprinkles some rocket fuel on her breakfast, one day I’ll be able to keep up with her 😂
My favourite video of yours so far. I will be watching this a few times. I love Scotland so can't wait for your next one. Thanks for sharing 😊
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it. Something a little bit special about Scotland isn’t there
hey Alex, you were obviously buzzin; for that trip and comes through on this vid, good on yer, glad you got ur **** together, best to you in the future!
Thank you so much! 😊
Love the vlog nice to see the sunshine ….. no mention of the dreadful midges
Thank you! We got very lucky with the midges, think we just beat them to it this time.
Awesome video Alex, thanks for taking us with you 👍
Thank you! 😊
This was fantastic episode man, gorgeous scenes!
Thank you! 😊
Do you have the post code? Please 🙏🏼
If you use the car park on the a5 do you have to come down the way you went up or is there an easier route to take down training in the gym and doing some small things but getting ready to do this for the first time with my brother we both never done before so little anxious and ovbs wanna stick to the grade one part for most if not all of it so fingers crossed! 🤞
If you are going to cook from scratch or for any length of time without being glued to it feeding it fuel all the time - get the XL
Beast of a route. Hev is a trooper, mate. Always miles ahead ahah. Just been in Florida for 2 weeks which might be the flattest place on Earth. Excited to get back to the Lakes.
This is class. Great views
Alex - just stumbled on your channel and seen this... Great to see someone young for a change rather than old wrinklies like me (I'm 65) out in our glorious Peak District - your photography angles are excellent and unlike that other commentator who doesn't like seeing you retrace your steps, it's good that you take the time and trouble to film yourself when solo because that's really important when trying to attract your own generation. 10/10 - keep going, don't let anyone put you off 👍 Brilliant.
Lovely video. I was expecting you jump from Adam to Eve at the top though. I’m looking forward to taking 11 and 14 year old daughters in half term.
Outstanding, sir. Thank you.
Very tranquil. Good video.
Why does everyone put SH*T music over their videos??? Couldn't watch it!!
Thank you for the constructive feedback
