My degree is in Music. I, too, have had the joyful experience of performing Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, and Brahms, and many other composer's works. I have loved classical music since I was a toddler. My lullabies were Beethoven Symphony 6 and Tchaikovsky Symphony 5. David really nailed this scene well, and it does resonate with me.
Loved the exchange he had with Father Mulcahey in this episode. "Major - I know how difficult it was for you to come here this evening. No one here has a greater knowledge of or appreciation of music."
Picard knows what time it is and knows what's going to happen in his quarters. He long accepted the fact he might as well yield to the inevitable and get rode with dignity. He knows there are worse fates in the universe. Whether he liked it or not he was her prag
As moving and inspiring as Winchester's words were and although this character was a concert pianist seems doubtful that he would play this or any of the other special works with such flow and proficiency at first go.
He's nuts. He sounds like he hasn't been laid since he's been in Congress, and the last time was Missionary. He's a worse lover than me, and I'm asexual (celibate). Vote him out.
The scene at the very end, when Charles is sitting there with the brandy - and in his head, he is replaying David's first performance of the Ravel. Magical.

Winchester may have had a pompous entitled attitude, but he truly cared and had a heart of gold when it came down to it.
I have not seen this episode for many years but it is just as beautiful as ever

YOOO,DEANNA!!COME GET YOUR MOM!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🥳🥳🥳🔥🔥🔥🔥
The actors in this show, and the show itself, should have won Emmy’s for comedy and drama. I love the sentimental scenes involving Charles.
oh my god his whistling sound the whistle of death from puss in boots
무엇인지요?
"They were musicians!"
Winchester had the greatest character arc. The war changed him.
Each of us must dance to his own tune.
Where was that?
Under all that hard outside was a man that would not let the spirit of a person die anymore than he would let the body die if he had a say.
sub text: there were a lot of crippled vets who returned from Vietnam. This was for them.
Still my favourite character.

I was too young to appreciate this show, but I always remembered this episode. It's one of the few that truly holds up over time.

leave it to a liberal to take something out of context. they have nothing but misinformation to hang their hat on.

Is is talking to Trump?
Nothing wrong with that man. You maybe. Not him.
He was no doubt quoting another Biden nominee
He's reading from one of the books that was banned in elementary schools in Florida
This guy is a disgrace to the name "Kennedy"
Is it even remotely possible to further disgrace that name?
Yeah. Right. Tell that to Mary Jo Kopechne's family, twit!
Smartest man in the Senate, this was from books in an elementary school library.....
Like kids don't have access to porn from any other sources ?
Nothing is wrong with him, but the progressives are sick and depraved.
There is nothing wrong with him.
Public Middle School library book?
Think that one needs some substance...
The problem we only have one of him - national treasure!
I think he enjoyed saying that in public.
Yes, people like him hide behind self righteousness.
Play the entire transcript! This hit price resembles the one with Trump quoting the murder by the Migrant that the News quoted " these animals"
What ?
This movie is so badass!
A very good moment for Winchester, who was mostly insufferable most of the time
This is up there with the North Korean orchestra ("Mozart!") 😭
