I changed ny laptop display and since then i cant activate my windows

This is not a problem that is limited to Dell this is a operating system problem. I had this on a variety of manufacturers. Sometimes the fixes work. Sometimes it don't 😢

I have a Dell 5810 and the support assistant is asking a for a bios update since 2020 I won't lie it's the one option I always disable since the bios doesn't have a detailed explanation why it needs to be updated and i don't want to brick my CPU.

It’s happen with Linux OS too. It has nothing to do with software. This is their firmware bug after updation and unfortunately dell doesn’t permit us to downgrade bios to initial version. All business tactics.

My Dell laptop is the only one where I have had battery problems. I also have a keyboard that now randomly misses out or doubles up letters. I have done a total discharge of the battery a few times now in lieu of a hard restart as I have not been able to take out the battery. It says these steps are "applicable to both memory module slots on the system board." Where in the world is the second slot?????? It doesn't seem to exist as far as i can see. Any help would be great, thanks.

If you observe any of these symptoms, chances are you bought a crappy DELL laptop.

I did what to do and I got to the part where it's checking to see if it has updates and it's taking forever and it keeps crashing and going to blue screen with "a problem had been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer"

I have a question, can anyone guide me, please? I have two Windows drives, C: and E: on a single HDD. In my E: drive I have kept my data. The C: drive contains only the Windows OS and program files. If I follow this process and do not format/delete E: drive while reinstalling Windows, is there any chance that I will lose my E: drive data? Thanks.
