Although ITS fun to Look at: I - as a non machinist- wonder If this Kind of Produktion big parts are both: time and Material inefficiant? Your turning way to much Material into Chips. Would'nt IT have been better to cast such part and Just Clean IT? Or could' nt you Not make this pulley Out of lets say three parts and mont them Afterwards? And why are there No cutouts for rigidity and weight reducing? Just my three Cents... But IT was nice to Look, what your machine can handle. Greetings from Germany.

A tactic i found works really well for getting through that kind of interrupted cut is super deep DOC .003-5 feedrate. Not trying to tell you how to do it though, just something i found worked well on big stuff, cheers.

Are you using just this small plate with a single threaded rod for fixing the part during machining of all holes? I would be concerned about vibrations, especially when machining the upper flange holes

Its a through hardening steel and you didnt think to get it re-annealed or check it hadn't been hardened? Thats on you.

How large is the concentricity and straightness deviation after roughing? before the pre-finishing?

Nice job Chris, and I'm sure we've both had ''customer supplied material'' that was a whole lot worse, FWIW4340 is very close to our Brit EN24 and IME that machined very very much like our EN24 T (heat treated) Take care and stay safe.
