If you haven’t had issues yet I suggest you undo the clip on the wiring harness in the passenger wheel well, then reinforce the harness with some rubber hose. It will eventually rub through and cause a short and fault code. Usually to do with ESP or traction control. Can be intermittent, mine would only short when driving in the rain. I ended up selling my colorado, simple mechanical jobs were an absolute nightmare, like replacing the thermostat housing ect.
We never have codes on the car. Moreso an issue with the cars steering constantly wearing the tyres all over the place n not constant. Cars at insurance now n has been for a week. Hopefully hear something shortly..
If you have a before pkc would be good. I'd say the chassis is buggered not just the body
I'm a panel beater . And that's beyond dodgy work.
what size shoe do you wear
Depends on brand. Mostly a size 13 or 14 us
What about some sandstone rocks on the edges to help shore up the edges?
The sand stone blocks n stuff in the piles we have been setting aside for something else around the property. As for big square cut blocks, they're on the expensive side of affordable for us atm.. am thinking of 10cm thick concrete poured edges that'll match up to the top later down the track... with all the rain we've had since last working on the driveway its holding up pretty sturdy but we'll be working on it more shortly 🤙🤙
@@SchmitysEncounters You did a nice job compacting the edges with the tractor. I dont have heaps of experience with drives and roads but maybe the edges will be ok if you dont drive too close to them and that sandstone stuff (good score by the way) might lock together pretty well.
@Ltech-ludditetechnologies yea man. It was a beaut score. In 2 minds with the edges for longevity n strength. It is 7m wide at the road edge n 5.7m over the pipes so shojld be wide enough. See once we get more work done. Be great once stones ordered n spread n start using it
❤❤❤
You should always build above the crown of the road if the ground is flat then you are above the water problem
If i builtthe shed it wouldnt be there....
Look at you two go... well done & congrats again.
Cheers man. Been a massive wait as finance took forever but its something to build our dream n home for ourselve n lil mrs munchkin..
"what a pretty view" yeah the Triton goes alright 😂
Great Video Luke... Sorry we didn't get to spend more time talking. It was just so busy all day.
All good man. Yea real busy day with cars n people everywhere. Couldn't ask for less tho!
Cool vid jeez that black shorty looked cool 😉
Cool Ep
Why are you selling it?
Because ive come to the relisation i dont actually fit comfortably in the middy. As much as i want 1.. we shall see in the upcoming videos on the middy if it truely stays or goes...
For the head lights you need to fit a Cambus system from Stedi as well.
I had fitted the cambus module and attached it to the body as the instructions said. Have had 2 auto elecs look at the cars wiring n both have scratched their head to the issue. Ive encountered this issue before one 1 of my other 60s years ago n think the ute had the same issue as the fsctory wiring is the issue... with the upgraded spotties theres no real meed for the led replacement headlights so ive opted for new h4 assembly's
nice work man. love the set up. Don't appreciate the 2H hate though hahaha. Good luck finding the red cruizer
cheers mate. tbh I don't mind the 2h just 12ht is much nicer 😂😂 new cars like a 2h tho
10k in paint wow. Must be a special paint
i know that 10k is more then the paints worth but we are preparing for the most.... paints probs more like 5k max
Don't lie and own it you've lived under dads roof for all 30 years of your life getting anything and everything you wanted kicked yourself out by getting a restraining order against him ps I believe what is documented by the courts over what you say and yes your rubbish took multiple skip bins to get rid off
Eric is the 1 who had the restraining order brother.. i also paid rent on time everytime to the fact it was automatic so did pam... . We left heaps because he wouldnt give us anymore access to remove our stuff... dont bullshit for the sake of being a hero..
been waiting for this too drop! you coming for a lap this sunday?
Ill see how i go..
The inbound track was a bit knarly 😳😂
Love a dirt track
Nice ute conversion .. tempting me and the grinder!🤔 What flares are the ones you are running?
The ute is a bloody weapon on n off tracks. Has more potential then i give it but its also my daily so dont like completely breaking it... im just running stock gxl flares that i reinforced but i cracked the undersides in the springs4wd park video so needa do some maintenance on the ol rig..
@@SchmitysEncounters The ute certainly looks the goods mate👍The flares looked like plastic not fibreglass in the vid, so was hoping to find out where to get some tougher ones.. seems the Springs park showed up the old 'Crack' Test on impact, vulnerability 🙂
@craigtirrell9098 yea the springs 4wd park definitely was some fun n showed me how capable the 60ute was. Only barely whacked the flares from wheel tuck repeatedly but these things happen.. why we have spares lol
@@SchmitysEncounters yes indeed, the 60 series is a highly underated 4wd, only because of the leaf springs .. had coils added to my 61 after the first 2H 60 I owned, it sure changed it up .. did that when GQs came out to keep the Patrol heads guessing, still glad I stayed with Toyota and the 61, it's not as flexy as my lifted 105, but corrugated roads are no prob and the low down torque of the 12HT is a marvel. Now I'm doing a full resto on the 61 and keeping it in the family, it took us all to the cape, the Northern Territory the back way via Borroloola, towed campers, boats and vans with ease.. definitely a beast👍
15:00 The mighty 12H-T, doing what it was made for!
Looks good dude
Mad skills mate.. impressive. What is that bender?
Cheers mate. Skilled at making it look half decent 😂 idk its just an upright bender i bought 2nd hand
The 60 is looking good mate
Cheers man. Really capable rig if i dont break the cheap bits 😂
Might need to get the 75 series out with you guys!
In the 60 group we're always happy for new faces and tag alongs. Only rule is "bop for non 60" always just great to get em out on the tracks and enjoy the rigs
@@SchmitysEncounters Too true! Do you know of any LandCruiser meet ups? Mine is nearly finished and keen to get it out
@JRC Adventures the group i constantly 4wd with runs in the s/e qld area. Think the next trip is towards the end of may.. its mainly the 60 series cruiser that do these runs but we're always happy for other tag alongs.. theres groups on facebook that we're apart of
Can't wait to get a heap of people together in 60s and do this 🙂
Its really awesome getting a bunch of ol cruisers out and enjoying how different people like their cars and the different levels of experience.
@@SchmitysEncounters it definitely would be can't wait
Hahaha gold.. I was wondering how the hell that ute got up into the back of the shed.. all becomes clear now :)
Haha yea the garage is abit of a custom setup. Floors rated to hold more then 1 cruiser so its plenty safe...
Cool set up dude
NICE ONE MAYE
No cargo barrier.....why split up all that space.....and u can't fold the seats down and camp
my point! We'll see how it turns out...
And instead of constant welding pulse or aswell with the finger and it makes a huge difference
Vert down for steel. Ally go up and push for ally
Push the weld not pull it. It will be alot better
Nice
where do you get your spotweld bit? and what size. I do about 3 spots and the go blunt
I just use renegade brand spot weld bits. They probably do go blunt then start acting up n i flip the cutting head. Pams60 used bout 2-3 on the full cutters including them jammin n destroying the teeth
Where are you camped up
That weekend we camped up at neurum creek bush retreat. Great spot

Gday mate doing my 60 cruiser has small amount of rust on roof and am going to remove the skin like you did, I too have a new roof skin it’s more than I can treat any rust in between the sub frame. Been looking for vids on it. Was great to see, any advice would be greatly appreciated also any chance of taking a video of the framework with the roof off
Hey mate. So im still doing the roof skin n yet to finish its repairs. More vids of it will come as the project progresses. Im no expert or professional but ive done this before on my 60ute tho not as much as this old girls needing.. if you want. Find the 60 series landcruiser pages and ask on there. Theres a few people i know who have done it n if im on that page ill probably be tagged in the comments...
I’m behind ur car Rn on the glass house mountains highway
Wear some goggles please!
Probably should more often
Cold start its at minus 20C
Spot on dude. I wish I could’ve gone up there.
Was a damn good day
sheeesh🔥 my dream car
Awesome!
Boost gumps my 80 was there named the Shady80 and I believe it like a patrol air box 293hp at the wheels connected the snorkel and lost 43HP now connected I have 250hp
thats good to know. thanks
Loved the in car cam at the end mate.
Thanks man. Pretty killer to get the opportunity to put the camera inside n glade it dealt with the run without issues 👌👌
Can you please find out how the mirrors were fitted to that beast if possible. And what brand they are thanks I'd love to put those on my 60.🤙🏼
Pretty sure they were gu mirrors with abit of finesse to make em fit. The owners instagram is in the description if you want to message them
gu or gq mirror. make up a sandwich bracket for the top part and voila. got to fit mine up shortly. only had the adaptors sitting around for 3 months now
@@liampoor9699 the sandwich bracket? To make the top part more square to the body? Do you have to drill any new holes?
@@4xfishin60 yeah, just so it supports top of mirror bracket. 4 new holes. Top ones may line up if lucky
@@liampoor9699 thanks mate will look in to it a bit more.🤙🏼 Not sure if I'll mention that they are nissan mirrors tho😂
Definitely a 60 series on steroids! 😎 Great video guys and I hope I get a chance to see your beast in person one day Christopher. 👍
Its definitely a big beats of a 60 rig hey.
Yeah mate we will... did you like your shirt :)
@@christophergrauer9873 Yeah mate - I showed my kids the video and they were like: "That's one of your shirts dad" 😄 Look forward to seeing the engine part of the video.
hey mate, that recovery was hectic! could you please let me know how to get to these tracks?
These tracks are in Queensland. South of brisbane.
