She earned her stripes in Stargate and Sanctuary was a raging success. It seems the Picard spinoff, since they are trying to inject Michelle Hurd who is like an elevator in an outhouse, they could find a recurring roll for someone like Amanda Tapping, as Admiral Dax, a forgotten character from the DS9 storyline.

What a babe. She looked amazing in Stargate and was a clear star of the show. I loved her in SG1 and Atlantis. She was amazing. Her real personality is quirky and goofy but her Capt Carter to Col Carter was so matured and serious balancing the Col O'Neill humor that it was amazing. Esp that one episode where Jack and Daniel are on a planet of women and make silly jokes and she just rolls her eyes like 'omg, my guys are so childish but I love them' type look. She was a perfect fit in that SG1 unit

Yep. Gonna piss off a bunch of folks here but it's just my opinion. Shatner was great as kirk, outside of that he's a nothing burger. Sorry. Even his interviews are crappy both as host and guest. Also, haven't likes Amanda in anything outside of SG. She is a huge sweetheart and obviously quite beautiful.
