I recently removed my K&N short ram intake and installed my factory air box. I also removed the entire intake up to the resonator box. There is a pipe that extends down and attaches to the resonator box. I left that pipe there to pull in cold air into the intake. I bought new ones on eBay for $10 from China. Chrome trim from China is good quality and lasts outdoors. My car sits outside and the trim is fine. Compared to retail, it is a very good deal.
